It's unfortunate that cannabis still faces stigma and misconceptions. While progress has been made in some areas, there's still work to be done. Did you know that the **All of Us Research Program** defines stigmatizing research as any proposal or project that could marginalize or discriminate against certain groups? They actively work to prevent resource use that perpetuates stigma¹. Speaking of activism, there were activists who projected pro-cannabis legalization images onto the Sydney Opera House, challenging the status quo². Shoutout to Jason Raznick & Elliot Lane for continuing to bring the cannabis community together at Benzinga. This event should be special as the sentiment around cannabis continues to improve, the recent positive decision by the Supreme Court of Florida and the fact that the event is held in Florida, arguably the hottest market to watch in the industry. What I'm looking fwd to: 1. Any discussion, breakdown or insight on the situation between the legal state cannabis markets and the national hemp/cannabis market. I was once all in on the legal state markets and have since changed my position. 2. Wellness Trends. I don't know Dustin, Claire or Hadas who will be speaking on the topic but I look fwd to their workshop and hearing what they have to say. 3. Jason Wild's chat with Javier Hasse. The cannabis industry doesn't need another conference. Seriously, how many panels on "The Future of Cannabis" can we sit through before we realize the future is now? What we need is action. It's time to rally the troops and organize a march on D.C.
