CUSTOMER PERCEPTION OF NO AND LO ALCOHOL BEER BRANDS 🍺 🍺 🍺
Today, we continue our Category Spotlight on No/Lo Alcohol brands. Yesterday’s post highlighted a clear trend between no/lo subcategories and the general sentiment that consumers seem to feel towards those products. Today, we dive deeper into one of the more mature subcategories—No and Low Alcohol Beer.
Our latest data reveals how various no/lo alcohol beer brands are performing on Sainsbury’s against the category average.
We've separated those brands that have received a high volume of customer reviews from those that haven’t to avoid distortion when comparing how brands stack up against one another.
Here are a few highlights:
👉 Peroni, Lucky Saint | B Corp™, and Beavertown Brewery are excelling, with Peroni leading the pack at an impressive 4.8 rating, well above the category average of 4.0.
👉 Taking review volume out of the equation, 30% of brands are indexing below the category average, including BrewDog, NORTHERN MONK, and Old Speckled Hen.
👉 A number of brands score highly on average rating and could capitalise on that by encouraging more customers to regularly advocate for them.
