In sales, people say the best feeling in Sales is when you get a "yes" for a proposal. Actually, I think it is when you get the proposal over the line. A sometimes "yes" can take several weeks to actually formulate. I also think the best feeling in Sales is when you receive "feedback" for a Deal and turn that into a yes. I call this a 360-Magical Twist. #sales

Hope is NOT a sales strategy! Hope implies a passive mindset where one relies on luck or wishful thinking for sales success. It's akin to crossing your fingers and hoping that customers will come to you or that the market conditions will turn in your favor without taking concrete actions. It is a phrase that emphasizes the importance of having a structured, proactive approach to sales rather than relying on optimistic expectations without a plan. Let's be proactive in the efforts that we make, plan strategically and have measurable actions in driving sales performance. #sales #salestrategy #hopeisNOTasalesstrategy

A great POV from Brian G. Burns Do you agree that management often tries to control what they don’t fully understand by creating endless KPIs and unnecessary data tracking? This trend can stifle creativity and innovation. Can you tell the difference between a great sales leader and a bean counter by seeing who’s the one dissecting the frog to understand how it jumps—only to end up killing its potential? Once all creativity is drained, what’s left to truly satisfy customers? Is it all turning into a commodity game, just waiting for AI to take over? 😉

Brian G. Burns thank you for sharing the valuable insights. Resharing with my thoughts. Sales is a dependent profession not a deterministic mathematical equation. I tried a data entry job during summer vacation in college . I couldn’t last 2 days as I wasn’t made for it. I see most sales people now doing data entry. There is less focus on selling and more on tools of data entry and cross verification. Discussion is not about who you’re meeting, what conversations you’re having with them and what is that leading to. It’s about jumping straight away to what is the PO value and booking date to be put in the tool.

A mentor once told me, "Sales is a profession of self proficiency and accountability. You will get enough slack to prosper or hang yourself with." Managing a sales team is easy. You train your team via duplicating past successes and actions. If team members can't work within that duplication system, make it their own, and thrive, they will bow out and resign, because they won't be able to make a living. If a team is struggling as a whole, leadership needs to be evaluated. Sales is the easiest job to work if you're coachable and self driven, and a team is the least resistive to manage if managed properly.

Sales Reps. It’s not about you! It’s what’s in it for them. Ask questions! Nobody wants to hear you tell them how great your product is or how great you think you are. Genuinely care and try to understand how you can help the prospect and it will change your outcomes. #sales #business #b2bsales

In the world of Sales, hard Selling does it truly work for sales people and businesses' out there? The outcome for me personally is 1. I begin to dislike the company/individual 2. Puts me off purchasing, 3. I feel irritated when I have said no and they persist. What's your views on company or individual sales methods? #sales
