Our CorEX team recently launched Transcription Stats, a neat addition that provides students with more insights during their lessons. They can now check out talk ratio (% of time the student is talking over total time anybody is speaking), words per minute, and unique words directly from the "Lesson Summary" view on the web. If you want to learn more about Cambly and our awesome CorEX team, we're hiring a Sr. Frontend Engineer and Sr. iOS Engineer. Join us! #hiring #SrFrontend #SriOS
Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to bring to your attention an issue that has been bothering me for a long time. Although I am entitled to a 30-minute lesson, you cancel my right if I do not join the lesson within 10 minutes. For instance, if I join an 8:00 AM lesson at 8:11 AM, I still have 20 minutes left of my lesson time. However, you immediately cancel my right to the remaining time and deduct the entire lesson duration. I might understand this in the case of a 15-minute lesson. However, this is unreasonable for a 30-minute lesson. At least for a 30-minute lesson, this time window could be extended to 25 minutes. It's similar to having a doctor's appointment at 8:00 AM, but the doctor refuses to see me if I arrive at 8:11 AM. If you go to a private hospital, they would still accept you. I have been unfairly affected by this situation multiple times, and I demand that this issue be corrected immediately. If no correction is made, I will take legal action to address this situation, as such a policy did not exist before. Even if I joined the lesson just 5 minutes before the end, I could still say hello to my instructor. Sincerely, S. Durmuş Talipoğlu
