To anyone who knows me (and maybe some who don't) If you've worked with me or met me for even 5 minutes, you know how strongly Vicente Plata's second sentence goes for me as well. So a bit more on the position with us at Weave that isn't in the job posting: This is **the opportunity of a lifetime**. I don't mean just for you, the successful candidate, either; I mean it's the (literal) opportunity of a lifetime for the people we ultimately serve with the success of our mission. But it's the opportunity of your lifetime as well. Our executive leadership is 100% made up of abundantly talented and incredibly values-centered visionaries. I know how important good exec leadership is to people considering senior / "post-senior" software engineering roles; you're in very capable hands here. Our product and design teams are some of the best you will *ever* work with as a software engineer. Our interview process is the lowest BS / most "treat people like a human being" process I've ever witnessed, and I've been part of (or constructed) several good ones. The only drawback/risk: if you choose to work here, you should do so knowing that ***this will be the peak of your career***; nowhere else will ever compare. I suspected this just before I joined Weave; having now been here long enough to know, I can confirm my read on this 1000%. Here’s what you need to land this dream job: 1️⃣ Must solve the world's most complex algorithm in 30 minutes on a whiteboard, using dry-erase markers that are almost out of ink. Your code must look like it was written by a machine with perfect syntax, no typos, and, bonus points if you turn the whiteboard into a full-blown Picasso. 2️⃣ At least 17 years of experience in a language that’s been out for only 5 years. Yes, we’re looking for time travelers. 🚀 3️⃣ Be an expert in EVERY framework. React? Of course. Vue? Definitely. Angular? Absolutely. Oh, and why not throw in Svelte, Solid, Ember, Backbone, and that obscure one we’ll ask about just to see you sweat. 4️⃣ 100-step interview process: First, an HR chat, then 4 technical screens with completely different teams who will definitely not ask the same questions.
