🌟 Gratitude for a Remarkable Chapter at Holistic Fitness Club 🌟 Working alongside Ed at Holistic Fitness Club was an enriching experience that's significantly shaped my professional path. It's been just over a year since I started working with Ed, though my commitment to University meant our collaboration had to end, the skills and insights I gained during the time continue to resonate with me. My role: 🚀 Social Media Mastery: Led the club's social media strategy, significantly boosting engagement and community growth. The challenge of creating content that truly speaks to the audience was both rewarding and enlightening. 💻 Website Creation: Built the Holistic Fitness Club's website , turning it into a welcoming online hub for both existing members and those curious about embracing a holistic approach to fitness. 💡 Advertising Artistry: Crafted a variety of advertising pieces that captured the heart of holistic fitness, attracting a wide array of new members and enriching the vibrant community. The skills I acquired and the connections I made have left a lasting impression on my career journey. I have attached an example of the infographic which I would send to Ed each month showing the progression of his social media.

Welcome to a brand new week. Today is about co-creating. For me whenever I want to reach a new career height or business goal I co-create. That way you step out of the fear, the over thinking, trying to work out what road to take. You step into an exciting new journey. You work with infinite possibilities. This year and for the next twelve months I have picked golf as my co-creator. A super game where until you put the ball in the hole you have not succeeded. Sure you can pick the ball up but that is like spitting the dummy. 18 holes to play one ball and a distance to walk. My goal is to see if my brain training systems can show how the game of golf is 80% emotional. My main goal is to take my brain codes to another level. Know your brain and you know exactly why you do the things you do. How to achieve, how to win and most of all YOU know YOU. At present I don't have a handicap and I have just joined a club. I have 1 more card to get in to receive a handicap. I believe golf is about a belief, knowledge, focus, persistence with the negative being emotion with ego. Control the emotions and ego and you get to have a low handicap. The same in business have a belief, connect to your product, focus, be persistent and you will win. Get tired up in an emotion and total ego you only get so far. Interesting the low handicappers are laughing at my concept. The high handicappers want to know more. I played one round with a 35 handicapper the other day. For 4 holes I had her on the green with 3 shots so improved her long distance game massively. She was amazed and commented on how her mind was when she hit the ball. I know I can get her handicap down as she has 2 of the brain codes that match some of the top golfers in the world. After researching the other week when I decided to use the game of golf as a co-creator for my brain training systems I saw that there was a common dominator for the top world golfers. There were 3 common brain codes. The only difference was where the brain code sat. I have one more card to go to get my handicap. Then I am off to get it down. Now the co-creation. Everyday I record both business and golf what I did for the day. The truth is the first place to start when you want to achieve. When you can tick off at the end of the day you put effort into the goal then you know the effort will be rewarded. Simple fact - no effort no rewards. Try co-creating and see how easy you can flip the switch on your brain to achieve your goals.

The latest Deadpool & Wolverine movie has enjoyed a phenomenal opening weekend, taking $438.3 million worldwide for the biggest domestic and global open for an R-rated movie of all time. For those of you who have seen the movie, you might have realised there are some powerful marketing lessons we can learn from it. Over my 20-year career as a Personal Trainer and fitness business owner, I’ve seen firsthand how these principles can be applied to fitness marketing. So, what can Deadpool & Wolverine teach us about marketing for fitness professionals? Here are three marketing lessons from Deadpool & Wolverine that can help you grow your fitness business: 1. BUILD A STRONG BRAND: Just like how Deadpool and Wolverine have iconic, recognizable personas, it’s crucial for you to build a strong personal brand. Be consistent in your messaging, visuals, and the way you present yourself online. Your brand should reflect your unique style and values, making it easy for clients to remember and trust you. 2. ENGAGE YOUR AUDIENCE: Deadpool is known for breaking the fourth wall and directly engaging with the audience, making them feel like part of the story. Similarly, keep your audience engaged with regular updates, sneak peeks of your fitness programs, and interactive content like live Q&A sessions. Make your followers feel involved and valued. 3. CREATE A COMMUNITY: The movie has a dedicated fan base that feels connected to the characters and their stories. As a fitness professional, creating a community around your brand can help you retain clients and attract new ones. This can be through social media groups, fitness challenges, or member-only content. Encourage interaction and support among your clients to build a loyal community. 🏋️♂️ Want to build a strong brand, engage your audience, and create a thriving community? I was once the gym newbie who struggled to complete even a single set. Today, I run a copywriting agency, and I owe a lot of my success to the discipline and resilience I learned from those days. So, what's the driving force behind our work at Copy Converter? It's not just about crafting compelling words or boosting sales figures. It's about transformation. Just like the gym, where every rep, every drop of sweat, all of our effort leads to a stronger, better you, our work aims to transform businesses, especially gyms. We know gym owners face unique challenges: → Attracting new members → Retaining loyal clients → Communicating the value of fitness These aren't just business hurdles; they're opportunities for growth and impact. When we write for gym owners, we think about the single parent looking for a community, the young professional needing to get away from, stressful environments, and the retiree wanting to stay active. Each word we craft is a step towards helping gyms be more than just a place to exercise. We want them to be a haven for transformation. We're working towards a future where every gym owner can: ↳ Attract the right members with ease ↳ Retain clients who feel genuinely valued ↳ Communicate their unique value effortlessly Our goal isn't just to write copy that sells but to write copy that resonates, inspires, and brings people through your doors. So, if you're a gym owner facing the daily grind, remember this: you're not alone. We're in this with you, every step, every word, every transformation. What's your driving force? Share your story. Let's inspire each other.

🏃♀️ Exciting times for runners! A new guide from Safety Light Me offers invaluable tips on finding local run clubs. As the fitness industry continues to evolve post-pandemic, we're seeing a surge in community-based activities. 💪 Key takeaways: • Online directories and running websites are goldmines for club info • Local running stores often host or sponsor clubs • Race websites and event calendars can lead you to active groups • Don't overlook community centers and parks departments • Meetup.com and online forums connect you with like-minded runners What's truly interesting is how this trend aligns with the growing focus on mental health and social connections in the wellness sector. Does your gym membership come with a side of empowerment and inclusivity? 💪🔥 If not, it might be time to rethink your marketing strategy. Are you using emotional branding in your gym's marketing? If absent, you're overlooking an opportunity to form deeper connections. Emotional branding goes beyond simply selling gym services. It's about capturing the emotional fitness journey, sharing success stories, and cultivating an inclusive community that resonates with potential members. When your gym evokes feelings of change, empowerment, and inclusion, you're nurturing a loyal tribe, not just gaining customers. So, ponder this: What feelings does your brand stir up? How can you enrich this emotional bond? Embrace emotional branding to propel your gym's growth to new levels.

What's the tech version of this for you? If you think about the community of customers you need to connect with, the investors potentially interested in your space, or the future hires you need to make--what's a version of this that would create the same kind of value? What's the lightest weight, most accessible, most fun way to get those folks together that you could lead? Even if you don't consider yourself a community builder, walking through the exercise of what this would even look like puts you in the shoes of the people you're trying to connect with and gives you a better understanding of what's valuable to them.
Before it was cool, Reebok spent millions of dollars on community building… In late 2017, Rebook partnered with Midnight Runners, which was then a small, independent running community. Today, Midnight Runners is a global, volunteer-led running community with chapters in 18 cities (from New York City to Sydney to Hong Kong to Bogotá) and 10,000+ weekly runners. I joined as a volunteer city organizer in 2018. Even though I wasn’t a big runner at the time, my experience in building communities led me to help launch one of Midnight Runners' first U.S. chapters—New York City—and support expansions into Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, and many other cities worldwide. Before the partnership was signed, the team spent significant time understanding Reebok's business objectives: 📈 Build awareness in the running category, especially among recreational runners 🫶 Establish brand affinity with new and emerging runners 👟 Improve their existing running products and launch new lines for both road and trail running So what were our #communityledgrowth tactics? 🏃♀️ Bi-weekly runs: Instead of traditional pace groups, we made the experience more fun with speakers blasting party tunes and bootcamp-style exercise stops, keeping the group together and energized. 🎽 Product feedback & early access program: We helped the product design team conduct interviews, beta-tested early models, and gave the community first dibs on newly released gear. 📲 High engagement on social media: We encouraged user-generated content across social channels, driving engagement (4.5M annual impressions) and building a strong online following (150k). ⚡ Free runner focused programming: We offered workshops with nutritionists, physical therapists, and wellness leaders to help runners elevate their performance and stay healthy. 🥳 Pop-ups during key running events: We hosted pop-ups at major races and fitness events across the country, from the Chicago Marathon to the Crossfit Games, tapping into key moments. This community changed my life. I met incredible friends, fell in love with running, and even saw people get married through the community and get MR tattoos! People were obsessed, and that obsession translated into incredible brand ROI. I’m curious—have you tried community-led growth in your business? What’s worked (or not worked) for you? If you enjoyed this post, go ahead and share it so others can jump in on the conversation too!

While resting between sets contemplating life due to the weights getting heavier and also wondering about giving powerlifting another go because it’s sort of fun, I heard a conversation between another gym goer and the gym manager about this trainer is bad and that trainer teaches bad form and this gym is better than that gym, it made me think the fitness community is no different to the Electronic Security community. This product is better than that product, this company is better than that company, my installs are better than your installs, they are tricking you with good marketing and it can’t really do what they say it can, is open platform better than closed, Reality is most companies provide the same service just slightly different (with the odd exception here and there)most manufactures skin the cat the same way but again slightly differently. If everyone did a better job in providing the right advice and following through I think the whole industry would actually move forward, interestingly enough the gym I go to has a competitor product (which works for its needs) but it doesn’t have the equipment installed that would make its life a lot easier as a business. We are all here for the same aim to protect people, places, and assets how do you ensure you give the right advice without just getting a sale of a product that isn’t needed ?? Just one persons opinion/thoughts
