💖 Why CAKE Hits Different💖 "At its core, CAKE is about transformation. Cannabis isn’t just a plant to them—it’s a way to connect, create, and celebrate. With strains that hit just right and a vibe that’s unmistakably their own, CAKE isn’t trying to be like everyone else. For those who see cannabis as more than just a product, CAKE is an open door to something bigger—a mix of music, art, and the kind of moments you don’t forget. That’s what makes CAKE hit different." ✨Thanks to LAs The Place for the write-up ✨ #cakeshehitsdifferent

Making wine for fun and profit. Is that an oxymoron? The answer may just depend on how you define wine. In Ep 37 of the Business of Drinks podcast, we bring to the table Exhibit A: BeatBox. We talk with Justin Fenchel, a co-founder and the CEO of BeatBox. It’s an 11% alcohol, wine-based RTD party punch in flavors like blue raspberry, pink lemonade, and fruit punch. Now BeatBox is far from a traditional wine company — its products are largely made from orange wine, meaning wine made from the actual orange fruit, which turns out to be a really great neutral alcohol base for RTDs. But boy, are they bringing the fun. These drinks are positioned in resealable 500 ml Tetra Paks, making them ideal for social gatherings like music festivals, house parties, beach bonfires, you name it. But really, what do we love talking about on BOD? Bringing home the Benjamins! And BeatBox has that down. The brand did an astounding $100 Million in sales last year, moving some 4.6 million 12-pack cases. And they’re on track to double their sales this year. How'd they do it? It's been a joy to follow the journey of Justin Fenchel and his co-founders at BeatBox. Even though they appeared on Shark Tank a decade ago, success was not preordained. Based on activities half way through the year 1. Consumption lounges are starting to happen in the cannabis industry. I see this as the next big move / win for the industry to be normalized in society. Bring your own, could be bigger than you think, or purchase at onsite dispensary 2. Big box retail and food outlets adding dispensary level offerings from the hemp world. Competing directly giving more access and choices to consumers. Already happening with beverages outlets Normalizing the industry in society even more 3. Waiting on the large professional venues to adopt alternative cannabis consumption methods for concerts, events and sporting

Reminder of God Making one of my favorite recipes tonight! Jaques Pepin’s roasted chicken. The ingredients are one 3.5 pound chicken, ¼ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of virgin olive oil. That’s it. And it is the tastiest bird I’ve ever had! Here’s a link to his video-- Classic Roast Chicken Ultimate Guide | Jacques Pépin Cooking at Home | KQED (youtube.com) Oh, I’ve tried adding things to it, herbs and/or bacon under the skin, garlic butter, You name it, but it lessened the appeal, the flavor. The beauty, the elegance of the recipe and the flavors are in the simplicity. I hang around with some very talented culinarians. One of my buddies, a Jame Beard award winning chef, told me that he was heading on a month-long research trip to Thailand. I replied “Bangkok? Chiang Mai, Pak Kret?” He replied “No way. I’m visiting villages under ten thousand people. Peasants get the best food. They understand the intensity of flavor in simplicity.” The intensity of flavor in simplicity. Our faith is like that as well. James 2:23 “And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.” Faith. The simplicity of believing God. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. Abraham believed God. Then in the Old Testament, 613 laws were added. The came the Pharisees, who added 1,500 more. Are we any better? The Christian faith is believing that God loved this world enough to send His Son, who lived without error, yet was crucified, paying the cost for our sin. We place our faith in Him, and we are forgiven. But then we add rules and regs, because we like to keep score. Sin, remember, is simply falling short of the glory of God. When, in the best time of my life have I ever reached the glory of God? No, we need to keep the recipe simple, elegant, not try to add anything to the flavors that God has set forth. Believing God, having that reckoned to us as righteousness. There is an intensity of flavor in the simplicity… Gotta run, time to pre-heat the oven. Grace and Peace, Ted

New Post: Imagine Dragons Score Sixth Top 10 on Album Sales Chart With ‘Loom’ Debut - https://lnkd.in/gsUd4xgD - Imagine Dragons land their sixth top 10-charting effort on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, as the band’s new studio set Loom enters at No. 3 on the chart dated July 13. The set sold 17,000 copies in the U.S. in the week ending July 4, according to Luminate. All six of the group’s full-length studio albums have debuted in the top 10, stretching back to Night Visions (released in 2012). Also in the top 10 of the latest Top Album Sales chart, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department returns to No. 1 for a fifth nonconsecutive week on top, Beyoncé’s former leader Cowboy Carter jumps back onto the list at No. 2 after the release of a deluxe vinyl edition, Megan Thee Stallion’s Megan starts at No. 4 with her best sales week ever, Camila Cabello’s C,XOXO enters at No. 5, and both The Warning and Omar Apollo log their first top 10s, as their latest albums bow at Nos. 6 and 10, respectively. Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. The new July 13, 2024-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on July 9. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. Loom’s first-week sales were aided by its availability across seven vinyl variants (mostly color variants or alternative packaging) and three CD variants (a standard album, a Target edition and a deluxe boxed set containing a branded puzzle). Target stores carried two exclusive versions of the album, one on vinyl and one on CD, each with a bonus track not available on any other physical configuration (“Eyes Closed” with J Balvin). The Tortured Poets Department rises 2-1 on Top Album Sales with 35,000 copies sold. The album’s sales grew 27% in the tracking week thanks largely to two new CD variants of the set that shipped to customers. The two CDs, which were sold exclusively in Swift’s webstore, were briefly available to pre-order in early June for $7.99 each. Both CDs contain the standard album’s 16 songs and an acoustic bonus track (one includes “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, and one includes “Fresh Out the Slammer”). Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter re-enters Top Album Sales at No. 2 with 24,000 copies sold (up 1,673%) after a deluxe edition of

New blog post for emerging cannabis companies having trouble with Gen Z: The misconception that cannabis is replacing alcohol is hurting branding and marketing decisions for cannabis brands looking to stay relevant and reach a strong niche customer following. Our research shows that only 15% of users prefer to use cannabis in a social and party setting. Brands should instead opt to label their products as anxiety cures and solutions to just chill!
