Hello, I have a Vending Machine in need of a location. It’s completely legal and all the licenses would be acquired before the start of operations. It’s a smoke shop vending machine that can sell cigars, vapes, ect. It has a id scanner and facial recognition so it’s completely secure against anyone who is 21 and under. We have an app that lets us when inventory is low so we only show up when needed to avoid unnecessary periodic automatic replacement. The location has to be indoors and the touch screen can’t be facing direct sunlight. We offer a percent of sales so we can make money. You would be paid monthly with a report of the monthly sales. Preferable looking for a bar, club, brewery, gentlemen’s club. The Vending Machine module presented here is a hardware description written in Verilog, designed to simulate the operation of a vending machine. It features a state machine that governs its behavior, transitioning between different states based on inputs such as the selected snack or drink, the amount of money inserted, and the presence of inventory. Each state represents a distinct phase in the vending process, including selection, availability checking, amount collection, and dispensing. The module's outputs control various aspects of the vending machine, such as displaying available items, managing inventory, dispensing products, and handling monetary transactions. In the initial stage, the vending machine initializes its internal variables and resets its state machine. All snack and drink availability counters are set to their initial values, and the state machine enters the IDLE_STATE. The IDLE_STATE sets various output signals to their default values, indicating that the vending machine is ready for operation. Once the reset signal is released, the state machine starts transitioning based on inputs and internal logic. Now delving into the states, IDLE_STATE: Initial state where the vending machine is inactive. SELECT_1: Activates the machine and awaits a selection of snacks or drinks. SELECT_2/SELECT_3: Selects either snack or drink and proceeds to availability check based on the selection. AVAIL_CHECK: In AVAIL_CHECK, the vending machine verifies item availability. If available, it decrements quantity and sets 'avail_out' to 1 before transitioning to 'AMOUNT_COLLECT' for payment. AMOUNT_COLLECT: In AMOUNT_COLLECT, it manages payment: for snacks, checks if money matches price and transitions accordingly. For drinks, follow the same process based on price and inserted money, transitioning accordingly. BALANCE_STATE: Calculates balance after purchase and transitions to DISPENSE_STATE. DISPENSE_STATE: Dispenses the selected item and returns to IDLE_STATE. STOP_STATE: If funds are insufficient, return money and transition back to IDLE_STATE. OVER_STATE: Signals item unavailability and transitions to REFILL_STATE. REFILL_STATE: Indicates the need for refills and restocks items before returning to IDLE_STATE. For a single vending operation, it took 6 cycles, to pass through all the states. And it finally reaches the Dispense state. Here Synchronous reset is used.
