How to handle a crisis situation ? Strategies from scuba diving… On a trip I decided to try SCUBA diving. The instructor said that first we have to do an introductory trial in the swimming pool of the resort. Only if that is ok we can go for deep sea scuba diving. After telling us the basics - our nose is blocked off and we have to breathe in and out through a tube in our mouth among others, he gave a nice piece of advice. If there is a crisis or we panic - Stop Breathe Think and Act It was simple and elegant. I felt it was useful in other areas too. As first responders, critical care teams, operation Theatre personnel we face these situations many times. Take a breath, think quickly and act accordingly. Your years of training will kick in. Ps- as for me, I panicked and didn’t go deep sea scuba diving! #careerdevelopment #careeradvice #career

Around this time last year, I took my first diving trip out with my advanced certification to dive with Goliath groupers. Why Goliath groupers? I wanted to be up close and personal swimming next to something bigger than myself. It was the only reason I decided to go above an open water certification. At the time,I had about 14 successful dives and feeling very fearless. However, the dive didn’t go as planned. At about 85 feet underwater, I was swept up in a current and could not find my dive buddy. I looked around and all I saw was a blue void. Panicking, I fought to go to the surface and signaled for help. I spent the next three hours feeling very seasick and very defeated. Last weekend (a year later), I dared to dive the Castor Wreck again. It wasnt easy. On the first dive, my nerves got the best of me and I couldn’t make it down. Luckily, on the second dive, I was able to get down there with some help from a female dive master and deep breathing. I could have let that one experience stop me from doing something I love. I could have walked away with my tail between my legs but I knew that I needed this. I needed to know that one bad experience is not the end of it all. I think it’s easy for us to give up on things we love because, sometimes, we might feel like we’re not worthy enough. You may be facing challenging times in your life and it may take days, months, or even years to get where you want to be but… you CAN do it and you WILL do it. You may need a little bit of help along the way, but don’t ever give up on something you love. You are more than deserving. #perserverance #determination #challenge #knowyourworth

Let's play a little game of "Would you rather?" : Play with dolphins - There's nothing quite like the feeling of being surrounded by these intelligent and playful creatures. Plus, you'll get a killer arm workout from all the swimming! 2: Go scuba diving - For all my adrenaline junkies out there, exploring the depths of the ocean and seeing marine life up close is an experience like no other. 3: Relax in the pool - Sometimes, all you need is a good book and a cold drink by the pool to recharge and unwind. And let's be real, a little sun-kissed tan never hurt anyone! : Visit an aquarium - For those who are fascinated by marine life but don't want to get wet, a visit to the aquarium is the perfect alternative. You'll still get to see all sorts of colortul and amazing creatures without getting your hair wet. So, which option would you rather choose? Let me know in the comments below and tag a friend to play along. #WouldYouRather #WeekendVibes #RealEstateAgentLife
