In the aftermath of Helene and Milton, there are going to be a lot of red flags to look out for as we work to rebuild our communities. The roofing industry typically gets a black eye after major events like this. Why? Because unlicensed contractors using inferior products leave those trying to put their life back together at risk. We always talk about the necessity to thoroughly vet your contractors before hiring them to work on your home. What we don’t talk much about is doing the same with the product they are using… Please do your research!!! Does the product have full product approvals? Where are they manufactured and how long have they been in business? Did you know that Unified Steel is not only produced here in the United States, but also corporately headquartered? This, along with the long list of reasons below, should give you comfort knowing that we are going to be here in the good times and the bad. Additionally, we are committed to supporting your needs with the best in the business. Our Southeast team of Lindsey Riddle, Baxton McIntyre, CSI and Joe Wendland are the boots on the ground to answer all of your questions. Finally, transparency is everything! If you want to view our product line, you can do so at https://lnkd.in/ebbd2hiX On our website, you will find our resource tab that will easily direct you to find our warranty, product approvals, technical resources and SO much more! I’m going to say “Sorry, Not Sorry” for the lengthy post. This is a passion and topic that I do not take lightly. Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions is committed to our communities, our employees and our roofing partners. Don’t sell yourself short on product!

The numbers don’t lie — with turnover rates in roofing exceeding 50% annually, our industry faces a real challenge in building and maintaining strong, cohesive teams. As someone who has dedicated my career to connecting people with opportunity in the roofing sector, these stats hit hard. The #PeopleMakeRoofing campaign was launched with a purpose: to address these very issues head-on. We believe that by shining a spotlight on the incredible opportunities, the purpose, and the community within our industry, we can help reduce turnover and inspire a new generation to stay and grow within roofing. Through storytelling, mentorship, and initiatives led by passionate industry leaders, we’re working to foster an environment where people feel valued and have clear paths to growth. It’s about building a sense of pride, creating careers with purpose, and letting people see that roofing is more than just a job — it’s a community, a legacy, and a future. To everyone committed to making a difference in our industry, thank you. Together, we can turn these numbers around. #CommercialRoofing #RoofingTalent #RoofingContractor National Roofing Contractors Association Roofing Alliance Western States RCA RoofersCoffeeShop® Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) Canadian Roofing Contractors Association

The Power of Associations in Roofing During one of our most recent #PeopleMakeRoofing calls, we spoke with Ed Gallos, President of Master Roofing. At the beginning of our call we began discussing the huge upside to being an active member of roofing associations. Associations can often be seen as exclusive clubs, but many don't realize the immense benefits they offer. We are proud and active members of the National Roofing Contractors Association, and I believe we might be the only Scottish members - well, aside from Graham! Additionally, we are members of the Roofing Alliance, the Western States RCA, and we're also planning on joining the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association, the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA), and the International Federation For The Roofing Trade. As Ed and I discussed, the cost of being part of these organizations doesn't always show a clear return on investment on a spreadsheet. The true value is often intangible, yet incredibly impactful. Every time we've joined an association, we strive to contribute significantly, and the returns are always tenfold. I'm a strong advocate for joining associations like the NRCA and the Roofing Alliance. The connections, knowledge, and opportunities we've gained are invaluable. It's great to hear that others have had similar positive experiences. #RoofingAssociations #CommercialRoofing McCormack Partners Roofing Recruitment Specialists RoofersCoffeeShop®

Jon Eskola, CEO of ESKOLA Roofing & Waterproofing, perfectly sums up the challenge we all face in the roofing industry: LABOR. Finding the right people, filling positions, and bringing on individuals who truly align with our organizations is not just a challenge for today—it’s a challenge for the next decade. As an industry, we need to collectively address this. It’s about more than just filling a role; it’s about finding dedicated professionals who see roofing as the incredible, purpose-driven career that it is. Through initiatives like #PeopleMakeRoofing, and this weeks World Championships in Austria, we’re shining a light on the vast opportunities within our trade, breaking down misconceptions, and inspiring the next generation. But we can’t do this alone. It requires collaboration across the entire industry—roofing companies, associations, and leaders all coming together to elevate our message. If we want to attract and retain top talent, we must: 1️⃣ Showcase the growth opportunities within roofing. 2️⃣ Highlight the rewarding purpose of what we do—keeping families and communities safe and dry. 3️⃣ Share our success stories and support those who are passionate about building careers in our field. Founder Christian Viveiros is the driving force behind CMAC Roofing. The origins of CMAC Roofing can be traced back to a pivotal moment in Christian's career, a moment when he realized he was on the wrong trajectory within the roofing industry. It became apparent that many companies were solely motivated by financial gain, a path that didn't align with Christian's vision for himself. Recognizing the need for change, he made a bold decision – a shift towards a business model that valued more than just profits. In his quest to take charge of his destiny and cultivate a company that genuinely cared about people, Christian broke free from industry norms. This decision marked the birth of CMAC Roofing, a company founded on the principles of investing in both the team and customers. For Christian, success wasn't solely measured in monetary terms but in the positive impact made on the lives of those they served. Today, CMAC Roofing is not merely a roofing company; it's a testament to living life unlocked. The conventional roofing experience has been transformed by placing a strong emphasis on quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. At CMAC, they have redefined the industry standard. The invitation is extended to join in living life unlocked with CMAC Roofing. It's more than completing a roofing project; it's about forging lasting relationships and ensuring customers have the peace of mind that comes with a reliable and trustworthy roofing partner. Christian personally invites you to contact CMAC by visiting their website cmacroofing.com or giving them a call 682-218-7221 #cmacroofing #livinglifeunlocked #roofingindustry #redefiningtheinfustry #roofingredefined

As I write this and reflect back on the past 12 years, I am reminded of our humble beginnings. MRB was formed in Irving, TX in 2012 in the garage of my first home. My first “desk” was in the master bedroom of my 1800 square foot house. When we started the company we didn’t have any fancy business plans or great ideas on how to scale the business. We operated off of hard work, perseverance and God’s great grace and mercy. Early on times were tough, and the days were long. I was my own book keeper, estimator, project manager, etc…. If a job needed to be done I never turned down business. I was involved in every single deal and would generally work 6-7 days a week. We didn’t have formal SOP’s, or KPI’s. Hard work and grit kept us going. We knew early on to create a competive advantage in the market we had to separate ourselves from the competition; the question was how? We quickly learned not to say no to anything, and no job was too small. We realized many things which took zero talent would prove to be the tool that would give us an edge on our competition. Effective communication on every project, and clear concise plans proved to be the recipe for success. We knew if we could out communicate our competition and ALWAYS answer our phones we could gain and retain customers. This approach, coupled with a high level of quality control and a safety first mindset proved to be the winning formula. Over the past 12 years I have learned many lessons. One of the most important lessons I have learned along the way is you gain more from your failures than your successes, and you truly do miss every shot you don’t take. I have also found that hard work and determination trumps talent, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to. While things are different than they were when we first started, MRB still operates off the same principles we had 12 years ago. We now have “brick and mortar” locations in Texas, California and Florida, and other satellite offices throughout the country. This growth has only been made possible by having one of the best managment teams in the country who have proved to be the lifeblood of MRB. It is only because of the great people who call MRB home that we have been successful. Our talented team has allowed us to attract and keep great clients. Our clients have in turn become great friends over the past 12 years, and through this we have forged lifelong relationships. I am forever grateful for everyone who has helped contribute to making MRB successful over the past 12 years, and I look forward to what the next decade will bring. Cheers to wrapping up another record Q1, and rolling through another Q2! #thinkBIGandDreambigger Casey Sneed, RRO Eric Walund Michael Ludwig Kelly Lea Charles Cross Chris Perry Brenda Alvarez Trent Lacefield Jose Espinoza Sean Konrad Taylor Bird Justin Kelley Andrea Heckelsberg Hise
