This is a Throwback 2023. Please skip to the bottom if you want the bullets. There was a time when I simply wanted to return back to Bangladesh right after I finish my graduation since I was at the brink of giving up. The struggle was too much to bear at one point. No social life as my routine consisted of 10-5pm class period and 6-1am work just to put food on the table and keep the roof over my head. When I started getting the invitation emails from the Griffith COllege research hub about the Gameon 2023 competition, link for details (https://lnkd.in/e-4m3y4b) I didn't even want to participate since I kept telling myself that, I'm leaving soon anyway. But after couple of official emails, Dr. Garrett Ryan sent a personal email regarding the compettition which made me enlist. Now I don't know what he saw in me that day, but that one email changed something in me. Since then, through Jeanette Garcia Kola's calm motivational words fueled something in me and things started going crazy! Today, I have a prize winning analytics business platform, nearly ready for launch. Just a week back, I had the chance to work with the delightful design students of the college, link for details (https://lnkd.in/e-4m3y4b) for brand development support. Looking back today, I must admit to couple of life lessons I learnt and still am learning: 1. Has life became any less struggling? Not yet, but I have grown stronger since I decided not to give up. 2. I have my own registered business entity soon to be happening, something always been in dreams, never realized yet. 3. Huge difference in maturity of the first proposal to today's plan but GBS research hub has been with me in every steps, shadowing, pushing, always motivating. (Please keep up the good work.) 4. I used to quitely blame my CEO from my previous work life for not making a prompt decision many times which I deemed as him not being concerned about the issues at all and on so many occasions I also believed that it was my way of presentation that didn't work. Today, I know the level of responsibility someone at the driving wheel like my CEO has and the stress level that comes attached with so many external stressors mixed in within a limited time frame just to make it hundred-fold difficult sometimes to reach a timely decision. Now I know, sometimes, it's okay to fail to meet the expectations of others to ensure maximum profitability does not get hampered. I was afraid before, broken inside, traumatized and what not and still am to this day. What changed now is I speak up though my shortcomings, constantly focus on healing as well as set goals to ensure that, Bzz Analytics is realized. Thank you Griffith, Thank you GBS research hub's team Michael-Philippe Bosonnet and every other unnamed ones who made sure I neither give up, nor give in. There's thousands more steps to realize the goals but today, am more focused to professionally deal with my tomorrows. #GameOn #InnovationBootcamp #GBSHUB #GriffithCollege
