I'm happy to share that I have obtained a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) certification! As an accounting major, I didn't have much previous experience in regards to website-building and analyzing performance. This certification allowed me to expand my knowledge into a new field and gain a good understanding of the power of data when assessing performance. Here are a few key takeaways I learned from the modules: 1. Google Analytics lets you know where website traffic comes from and how it changes over time. By analyzing acquisition reports, you can identify significant changes and investigate the underlying reasons for these changes. 2. Google Analytics offers integration with platforms like Google Ads, BigQuery, and Firebase to enhance data analysis capabilities. These integrations support cross-platform tracking, advanced reporting, and comprehensive insights into user behavior and marketing ROI. 3. Google Analytics allows you to analyze the performance of multiple marketing campaigns (A/B testing) by examining metrics like engaged sessions and key events. By comparing metrics across campaigns, you can identify strengths and weaknesses, such as lower engagement and fewer key events, and make informed decisions to optimize campaigns for better results. I am excited to continue learning about this tool!
