What if I told you that procrastination could actually be a superpower? Let me explain. In Brian Tracy's book "Eat That Frog," he introduces the concept of "creative procrastination." It's not about putting things off indefinitely; it's about strategically choosing which tasks to delay or delegate. By prioritizing your tasks and focusing on the most impactful ones, you can maximize your productivity and achieve greater success. So, what task can you abandon? How can you harness the power of creative procrastination? ▶️Prioritize: Not all tasks are created equal. Identify the tasks that will move the needle the most and tackle those first. Delegate tasks that can be done more efficiently by someone else, freeing up your time for tasks that require your unique skills and expertise. ▶️Pause: Sometimes, taking a step back and giving yourself permission to procrastinate can lead to breakthrough ideas and creative solutions. Don't underestimate the power of a well-timed pause. ▶️Patience: It's ok when things don't go as planned. We all have days when productivity feels like a distant dream. 5 reasons you haven’t achieved your 2024 goals. (and probably won't - unless you fix them) 1. Your goals are too vague. “Lose weight” “Get better with managing money” — What's the specific goal here? Think SMART to find out. S - Specific M - Measurable A - Achievable R - Relevant T - Time-bound — How can you track your progress? 2. You're chasing too many goals at once. Enter *Multitasking* 👇🏾 The biggest roadblock to getting things done. Here's a better alternative. - Pick 1 personal and professional goal. - Make them your top priority. - Invest your time and energy into them. 3. Your goals aren't aligning with the life season you're in. As seasons change, Our values and goals change too. Sometimes, the kindest thing you can do is: Let go of goals that don't fit your life anymore. 4. Maybe goal setting isn't the problem. It's your habits. Aka picking unrealistic habits that are difficult to stick to. If you actually want to make goals happen, (without slipping back into your old ways) Go for doable and “tiny” habits. They have the biggest ROI. 5. You lack “enough” support. We need different levels of support to keep showing up without fail: > Accountability > Guidance > Teaching > Psychological & emotional Have you built your: > Own community of support? > Or personal board of advisors? Perhaps it's time to build one — So you can finally achieve your goals. Remember: Your worth isn't tied to whether or not you “achieve” your goals. What matters is: > Staying the course. > Chipping away at your goals. > Celebrating daily progress. Do what you need to show up. Success will take care of itself 💜 💌 If you're a female doc who’s struggling to find time for her goals — given how demanding the physician work culture is, I’m hosting a FREE workshop on 29th July where I'm sharing my top 3 secrets to help make time for what matters. ✨Save your spot using link in comments. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer number of goals we set for ourselves. This can lead to a sense of being scattered and unfocused. Renowned investor Warren Buffett offers a unique approach to goal setting that can help you prioritize and achieve your most important objectives. 🖐 The 5-Goal Principle Buffett's philosophy suggests that instead of having a long list of goals, you should focus on only five. These should be the most significant and meaningful goals in your life. By narrowing down your focus, you can ensure that your energy and resources are directed towards what truly matters. 💪 Benefits of the 5-Goal Approach Increased Focus:-- Limiting your goals helps you avoid feeling overwhelmed and allows you to concentrate on what's truly important. Enhanced Productivity:-- When you're focused on a smaller number of goals, you're more likely to make progress and achieve them efficiently. Greater Satisfaction:-- By prioritizing your goals, you can ensure that you're working towards things that align with your values and bring you joy. How to Implement the 5-Goal Approach ☝ Identify Your Core Values:-- Determine what's most important to you in life. This could include family, career, health, or personal growth. Set Your 5 Goals: Based on your core values, choose five goals that are both challenging and achievable. Prioritize Your Goals: Rank your five goals in order of importance. This will help you allocate your time and resources accordingly. Create a Plan: Develop a detailed plan for each of your goals, outlining the steps you'll need to take to achieve them. Regularly Review and Adjust: As your life evolves, revisit your goals and make adjustments as needed.

In the journey to peak performance, two critical elements stand out: passion and purpose. Together, they act as a compass, guiding us toward our most productive and fulfilling states of mind. When we align our actions with our passion and purpose, we unlock the extraordinary state of flow. Why Passion and Purpose Matter: 1. Passion Ignites Motivation: Passion is the spark that fuels our motivation. It’s the internal fire that keeps us excited and eager to tackle challenges. When we’re passionate about what we do, we naturally dedicate more time and energy to our pursuits. 2. Purpose Provides Direction: Purpose is the reason behind our actions. It gives meaning to our efforts and provides a clear direction. Knowing why we do what we do helps us stay committed, even when faced with obstacles. 3. Together, They Enhance Focus: Passion and purpose sharpen our focus. They help us eliminate distractions and concentrate fully on the task at hand. This focused attention is essential for entering the flow state, where we perform at our best. Entering the Flow State: Flow is a state of optimal experience where we are fully immersed and engaged in an activity. Time seems to fly, and our skills match the challenge perfectly. Here’s how passion and purpose drive us into flow: Intrinsic Motivation: When we’re passionate, we pursue activities for the sheer joy of it, which is a key ingredient for entering flow. Clear Goals: Purpose provides us with clear goals, aligning our actions with meaningful outcomes. Immediate Feedback: Engaging with passion allows us to receive immediate feedback, helping us adjust and improve in real-time. Challenge-Skill Balance: Passionate pursuits often match our skill level, providing the perfect challenge to keep us engaged. Cultivating Passion and Purpose: 1. Explore Your Interests: Take time to discover what truly excites you. Experiment with different activities until you find what ignites your passion. 2. Reflect on Your Values: Consider what values are most important to you. Align your goals and actions with these values to create a sense of purpose. 3. Set Meaningful Goals: Define clear, achievable goals that align with your passion and purpose. Break them down into actionable steps. 4. Stay Curious: Keep an open mind and remain curious about the world around you. Curiosity fuels passion and helps you stay engaged. 5. Embrace Challenges: Don’t shy away from challenges. Instead, view them as opportunities to learn and grow. The Impact of Flow: Achieving a state of flow not only enhances performance but also boosts well-being and satisfaction. When we regularly experience flow, we feel more fulfilled, productive, and happier in our lives. What steps will you take today to align your life with passion and purpose? Share your thoughts below!

They say one year in a start-up feels like five in a more established company. Whether that is true or not, here’s what I’ve learned from start-up life: 🔸There’s nothing quite like the feeling than accomplishing something that you thought you wouldn’t. 🔸A growth journey is like a relay race. One team can sprint at their maximum capacity for a certain period of time, then it’s time for the baton handoff. 🔸Being surrounded with like-minded people is mesmerising and intimidating, both at the same time. 🔸You will get motion blind. When things around you change constantly, change becomes your status quo. 🔸Just because something hasn’t worked out yet, doesn’t mean that it won’t. 🔸Every victory is fleeting. The next growth target is already on your face before you get to celebrate the previous milestone. 🔸Burnout has many shapes and forms. For some it’s a full stop and others hyperactivity. 🔸There is always more to do and more ideas to execute. Learn to prioritise and be okay with leaving tasks undone. Not everything needs to be completed. 🔸There will be off days and off weeks. Have mercy on yourself but remember it’s also your responsibility to snap back from them. 🔸Everyone can be replaced. I mean everyone. 🔸It’s insane how quickly your mind can shuffle between “this is never going to work out” and “we’re going to conquer the world”. 🔸When everything around you seems to be falling apart, discipline and consistency will get you centered. 🔸You need to learn to sit in discomfort. Once you do it's transformative. 🔸Prioritising work will have an impact on the other aspects of your life. You cannot be everything, everywhere, all at once. 🔸“Let’s give it a try and see how it goes” attitude is priceless

Why New Year Resolutions Fail—and What to Do Instead! As the year comes to an end, many of us begin crafting resolutions. Over the years, I’ve been no different. I’ve set my fair share of resolutions—some I’ve achieved, and others… well, let’s just say they remained on paper. I used to wonder why this happened. Why could I stick to some goals while others fizzled out after a few weeks? A couple of years ago, I decided to reflect deeply on this pattern. What I realized was eye-opening and has since shaped the way I approach personal growth. Here’s what I discovered—and the five changes I made that helped me achieve my goals more consistently. 1. Resolutions Are Often Too Vague Saying, “I want to be healthier” or “I’ll manage my time better” is too abstract. Without clear direction, such goals are hard to act on. What to Do: Make your goals specific and measurable. Instead of “being healthier,” try “walking 10,000 steps daily” makes more sense. 2. We Overestimate Our Willpower Motivation at the start of the year is high, but it fades quickly when life gets busy. What to Do: Build systems instead of relying on motivation. If you want to read more, block 20 minutes daily on your calendar. Small, consistent actions keep you on track. 3. Lack of Skills to Sustain the Change Resolutions often require skills we don’t yet have. For instance, improving communication at work demands articulation and active listening, which may not come naturally. What to Do: Focus on developing the necessary skills first. Break them into small, achievable steps to ensure progress. 4. No Accountability Mechanism Without accountability, it’s easy to give up. When no one knows your goals, there’s no external push to keep going. What to Do: Share your goals with a mentor or friend who can help you stay on track. Regular check-ins make a big difference. 5. Forgetting the “Why” Behind the Resolution A resolution without a purpose is like a ship without a compass. What to Do: Tie your goals to a larger purpose. For instance, if you want to learn a new skill, think about how it will enhance your career or personal growth. Final Advice: Focus on Skills, Not Resolutions Reflecting on my own journey, I’ve learned that resolutions are just the starting point. What truly makes a difference is focusing on building the skills that drive lasting change. Want to transform your life? I can help YOU! [Day 15] I’ve worked with over 1,000 founders and I’ll teach you the 1 habit that separates them all. If you’re not doing this, you’re falling behind: After nearly 2 decades working with 1,000 founders, I notice the best all seem to have 1 thing in common… It helps them to get more done in less time and stand out from everyone else. The 1 habit is this: Truly remarkable founders understand the value of their time. → They are on time → They are focused → They are organized Not only that, but they know numerically how much an hour of their time is worth. They limit time spent on tasks that don’t match their value. → Imagine feeling like you have accomplished more in 1 day than most do in 1 week. → Imagine feeling a level of focus, clarity, and flow in your work and in your play. → Imagine experiencing more growth in 90 days than most would in 1 year. These founders seem to do just that. Here are 3 quick ways you can begin to adopt this pattern: 1. Don’t feel accomplished at the end of most days? ↳ Learn to prioritize using the 80/20 rule. The 80/20 rule says that 80% of your outcomes results from 20% of causes. That means only 20% of your work gives you 80% of your results (money). Find the 20% in your business and focus on THAT. If you’re a founder in your first 1 to 2 years of your business, it’s most likely related to sales. 2. Can’t be on time to meetings? ↳ For 1 week, write down how long you think each activity (getting ready, commuting, etc.) will take, and then track the actual time. This will help identify areas where your perception of time is off. What gets measured gets managed. Break the pattern. 3. Struggling with procrastination daily? ↳ Do the thing you’re resisting most. Fear should be used as a sign post. The greater the fear we feel about a particular pursuit, the more likely it is that pursuing it will lead to significant growth and fulfillment. We tend to shy away from things that challenge us or push us out of our comfort zones, but those challenges are often the very things that lead to breakthroughs and personal bests. The most remarkable founders are engaged, show up, and respect your time because… …well, they respect theirs. Just getting this right easily puts you in the top 5%. Whether in business or in life: Who you are is defined by how you use your time. *** Thanks for watching/reading! My name is Rob and I install systems that make founders 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 in 90 days. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙈𝙮 𝙂𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙮 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 It was a cold evening sometime ago, I sat on the edge of my bed, staring into space, thinking about my unfulfilled dreams. I felt stuck, overwhelmed, pained and unsure if I'd ever be the person I wanted to be. During this period, I did some soul searching and reached out to some people here, but I didn't get any answer to the conflict in my mind. On that cold evening was the day I took myself in my hands and I decided: no more excuses. It was the norm to write new year goals but lose momentum by February, then begin to look forward to the next year promising myself that next year will be better. Honestly, I thought my problem was a lack of discipline, but the truth was, I didn't know how to set goals effectively. Identifying this made me began to see goal setting in a new way. Before now, I usually wrote my goals but I never knew that the key to achieving them wasn't just to write, but to break them down into smaller, actionable steps. For instance, instead of writing "I want to start a business", I wrote: "Research business ideas for 30 minutes every evening ". With this method, I began to effortlessly build my business without pressure. Don't let me make it seem like it was easy. No! it wasn't at first because old habits are difficult to break and I struggled with consistency. But what did I do to break out of my habits? You can do these too if this is your struggle. 🔵 I was determined 🔵 I constantly reminded myself of my WHY. 🔵 I tracked my progress daily. 🔵 I celebrated small wins and encouraged myself when I fell short. For real, these little victories gave me the needed momentum. Within months, results began to show. The School of Productivity (SOP) was born. Just by dedicating 30 minutes daily to research (I later increased it unknowingly because I enjoyed what I was doing 😊). But this was not the highlight for me, the most significant change was in my confidence. I could confidently show up here and other platforms. For the first time in a long time, I was in control of my life. Reminiscing now, I realize that big changes don't come from monumental efforts but from small, consistent actions. The secret was in taking one step at a time and staying accountable to myself. So if you are feeling the way I felt then, stuck, overwhelmed...take a cue from what I did. Now over to you, let's get to action. For instance, if your goal is to write a book, do these: 🔵Outline a chapter. 🔵Set aside 15 minutes to do this today. 🔵continue like this. Before you know it, you'd have completed your book. Try this today and let me know. P.S: DM to be a part of the 2 weeks free event for those who will have an Amazing 2025. PPS: Someone in your network needs to see this, Repost! ♥️ With love from #TheProductivityCatalyst Cheers to your productivity 🥂 #RewriteTheRulesWithBoluwarin #GoalSetting #Productivity

When staying feels safe, but leaving leads to growth We’ve all been there... Sticking it out in a role, relationship, or project long after it stops feeling right. Why? Because staying feels easier than stepping into the unknown. But here’s the thing: staying comfortable can cost you more than the leap ever will. Starting over isn’t a setback. It’s a strategy. Here’s how to start fresh: 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳 What’s missing where you are? Can it change, or is it time to cut ties? 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗜𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 Big leaps feel scary, so take it one small step at a time. Little wins add up. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 You’re not back at square one. You’re carrying lessons that make you smarter this time around. 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆 Fear will be there. Acknowledge it, but don’t let it make your decisions. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀 Change is easier with structure. Start routines that support the direction you’re headed. Starting over isn’t admitting defeat. It’s taking control of your story and giving yourself permission to grow in a way that aligns with the life you want now. --- Follow Jeff Gapinski for more content like this. ♻️ Share this with someone who could use this advice
