What are leaders in the property industry looking for when recruiting into their business? In our latest episode of 'ds vs...' we invited challengers from Knight Frank, Marsh & Parsons, Beresfords Group, Stirling Ackroyd Group, Collaborative Conveyancing and Apache Capital to see who could complete the fastest lap around the Olympic velodrome. Between the action, we took the chance to ask them for their advice for property leaders, and how they predict the market to evolve over the next year. A great watch! After 6 years as CEO of Hoxton Wealth, I have NEVER paid myself a dividend from the business. Every single penny of profit has been reinvested back into Hoxton to improve processes, technology, and, most importantly, the experience for both our team and clients. I don’t pay myself a salary for running the business, in fact, I remunerate myself the same way I would any other financial planner that works with us - by looking after their clients! Why? Because if you want to build something sustainable, you need to be investing heavily in the business itself - especially in the early years. This benefits your team - better qualifications, more career prospects - and it benefits your clients with better tools and a higher-quality experience. It’s about thinking long-term. The best investment you can typically make is in yourself - and I truly believe in everything we are doing at Hoxton Wealth - so why would I not bet on that in a big way? I am really excited for our future and the people we have in the business - I want to invest in them to keep on going and doing even better. I am all in - some might say stupidly - but the growth we have experienced and talent we have in our business is largely because of the amount we have reinvested back in! A bit of sacrifice and taking less in the short term, will hopefully mean we can deliver on everything we want to achieve! Growing our business for our team and clients is the priority!

We ask the clients who we’ve worked with for years, “Why keep investing in this relationship?” Jeff King, partner at Highland Wealth in Baton Rouge, shared this… “Each and every time we meet, the results keep getting better. It’s always good, in my opinion, to have somebody that’s not sitting in Highland Wealth each and every day that can continue to challenge us, help us grow, and give us great ideas.” That’s what we bring to the table – the no-nonsense, outside perspective our coaching clients need to see their business, challenges, and opportunities through a different lens. We can do the same for you. It starts with a conversation. #batonrouge #neworleans #phoenix #tulsa #businesscoaching #leadershipdevelopment Deric Keller Cole Taylor Craig Sweeney Jason Ambeau Julie Couret
