'I couldn't find real testimonials.' This is what feedback can look like from a judge - even when you win a Company of the Year Gold award at the Globee Awards. Fortunately, the award was based on the views of 106 judges, not just one. Of course, the feedback I preferred to read was: 'PPWD Consulting’s commitment to compassionate safety training and their pioneering Fair Culture Charter has revolutionized the safety culture across industries, specifically in the UK railway sector.' What I do take away from this is that, however strong I think our work is and how well we demonstrate it, what I say and write will never connect with everyone. There is still work to do on how I effectively communicate the great work we do at PPWD alongside our partners, including Southeastern Railway. The Safety in Action (SIA) program was officially inaugurated in a memorable ceremony at our head office, marking a significant step toward fostering a culture of safety across the organization. The event began with an inspiring opening speech by our Chief People Officer- ME Vishal Subba, who emphasized the importance of safety as a shared responsibility. He spoke passionately about how creating a safe workplace is not just about following rules and procedures but also about cultivating a mindset of care and vigilance that protects everyone. The entire program was thoughtfully designed and executed under the leadership of our Country HSE Manager Rathesh Unnikrishnan , and his dedicated team. It aims to inspire a collective sense of responsibility, encouraging all of us to look out for one another and create a work environment that is not only safer but also healthier and more supportive. From the engaging sessions to practical safety demonstrations, the program focuses on preventing accidents before they happen. Many promote safety, but that promotion may be interpreted as passion for safety rules and procedures. The more important question is, do you have a passion for the people you work with?
