Growth is not just about sales. Your small business needs to maximize cash flow from current sales and understand how to grow sustainably with and/or without borrowing.
What is Self-Financeable Growth (SFG) - and what does it mean for a small business? SFG is a valuable metric for businesses of all sizes, but it is especially important for startups and early-stage companies that are still trying to establish themselves in the market. By understanding and managing their SFG rate, companies can increase their chances of achieving sustainable, long-term growth. A higher SFG rate indicates that a company is more efficient at generating cash flow from its operations and can therefore grow faster without needing external financing. - Shortening their operating cash cycle: This can be done by negotiating better payment terms with suppliers, improving inventory management, and collecting receivables more quickly. - Increasing their profit margin: This can be done by raising prices, reducing costs, or improving product quality - Reducing capital expenditures: This may involve investing in more efficient equipment or outsourcing some production activities. Please consider Self-Financable Growth as a way to measure the health of your SMB's financial health! #smallbusiness #outsourced #accounting

Unlock Funding & Attract Investors with SEIS You've got a brilliant business idea, but traditional avenues like bank loans seem out of reach. That's where business angels come in – individuals who invest in exchange for equity. Convincing investors to take a chance on a young company can be tough. Seed Enterpise Investment Scheme (SEIS) can help to sweeten the deal for both you and the investor. ✨ Here's how SEIS supercharges your fundraising: Tax-efficient investment: Investors get a 50% income tax relief on investments up to £200,000 in your SEIS company. Plus, they're exempt from capital gains tax on any growth in the value of their shares (after 3 years). Boosts credibility: Obtaining HMRC's "advance assurance" confirms your company's eligibility for SEIS benefits, showcasing legitimacy and potential to investors. There are a few things to keep in mind: Eligibility: Your company needs to be new or recent, have assets under £350,000, and be engaged in a qualifying trade to qualify. Investment cap: The total SEIS investment your company can receive is limited to £250,000 (but after, you can use SEIS’s big sister - EIS). How do you get it? Request "advance assurance" from HMRC to boost investor confidence. Keep meticulous records to demonstrate compliance with SEIS requirements after issuing shares. ️ #SEIS #UKbusiness #taxrelief #startupfunding #investment #businessgrowth
