Whatever your thoughts and opinions, it is undeniable that ChatGPT, Humata.ai, and various other virtual assistant platforms are revolutionizing project management roles, and will continue to do so more efficiently in the coming years. The landscape of what project management currently is, like many other occupations, will evolve in time as more and more PMs utilize these tools. Ultimately, 90% of a PM's role is communication. AI cannot replicate the relationship a PM needs to foster with clients, peers, and colleagues, and it certainly cannot process the contextual nuances of coaching a team member to be successful. The PM role will not be replaced, but it will drastically change. PMs will shift focus from manual tasks (i.e., team utilization, budgeting, analysis, reporting) that we are accustomed to, to a more leadership-centric and coaching role within their teams. We will begin to see organizations and leaders find a level of efficiency that is unprecedented, and with that shift, more time to invest in our colleagues and client-relationships. #AI #ProjectManagement #Leadership #FutureOfWork

I’m thrilled to have completed the "Leveraging Generative AI for Project Management" course by Ricardo Vargas. This training truly opened my eyes to the potential of AI in project management and how it can strengthen our approach to challenges. But one key realization is this: The real challenge with AI isn’t the technology—it’s us. It’s about our culture, our values, and how we see our work. AI is just a tool; it’s how we leverage it that makes the difference. A few takeaways that resonated with me: 1️⃣ Move from Fragile to Antifragile This isn’t about AI replacing us. It’s about working with AI. Being fragile means breaking under stress, while being antifragile means growing stronger with it. AI might be seen as a stressor, making us fear for our roles. But rather than feeling threatened, we should embrace AI as a tool that enhances our abilities. Let’s take advantage of AI to improve! 2️⃣ Leave Your Comfort Zone With the rapid pace of technological development, we must continually learn new things and unlearn old habits. We can’t rely on routine; we need to challenge our perspectives and be open to new ways of working. 3️⃣ Manage Your Fear Fear is a natural instinct that protects us, but if we let it dominate, it paralyzes us. To grow, change, and learn, we must manage fear—not eliminate it, but control it so it doesn’t hold us back.
