I recently enhanced the functionality of our Planckly web app, integrating it with our partner ONIC.🚀 This included adding their logo and theme to our app. Through this process, I learned a lot about dynamic UI and would like to share some professional insights that could help you on your projects Maintainable Code:🧩 Ensure your code is maintainable by containing each section with its own state and service. SCSS Variables:🎨 Utilize SCSS variables for theme management. Create a theme.scss file where all colors and basic properties are defined, making it easy to change the app's appearance by modifying a single file. White Labeling:🏷️ Detect the active environment of your app and adjust the theme accordingly. In my case, I used Next.js and created a custom hook for white labeling to change the theme dynamically based on the active environment. Implementing these practices can greatly improve the flexibility and maintainability of your web apps 😁

🤓 AL nerd alert! First examples of tooltips on queries (implemented as moving page tooltips down from page fields to table fields) coming into the Business Central base app now. I love this type of PR. We get better UX for the query and we get less duplication of code for the card/list pages involved. Support for tooltips on table fields (and inheritance up to page fields) came in 2024 release wave 1 (as I recall it) and the support for tooltips on queries came in 2024 release wave 2 (as I recall it). If you want to try it (and do a small contribution to base app), maybe pick a part of the app that has list/card pages and do a small change there. Then do a PR to base app. Hint: don't go berserk, just pick a few pages. This will make the review such much easier and minimize the risk of merge conflicts. #msdyn365bc #al #cleancode
