Tethered caps on plastic bottles - oh no! It's been a while since I've blogged, at least to any viewers - so many drafts, so many. Alas, the recent 'furore' surrounding attached caps to plastic bottles got me even a little riled up trying to come to terms with the backlash against them. I decided to do a little digging, read a little history, and ended up comparing the cap to the humble aluminium can pull-tab. I think there are a few principled similarities with respect to design iterations and settling on a form that is user-friendly, purposeful, and ultimately stops the items from being littered and lost. The show is called The Responsible Parent Podcast. New episodes are released every Thursday at noon EST and alternate between guest and solo episodes. 🍃 With a goal of helping overwhelmed families NAURALLY regulate their nervous system, I also make sure to serve as a reminder that everything is cyclical and connected. Poor quality windscreen wipers are one thing, but brake calipers? You might think twice before putting your customers at risk.
