Oct 2022: A month of blessings and blessings in disguise. My son, Rocco, was born. Healthy, happy and hungry: A blessing! Born a week after I was asked to leave a team and company I helped build and truly enjoyed being apart of: A blessing in disguise! Time to spend with the baby... To help his mother... To be present. Time many new fathers are not fortunate to have. Then the realities of the job market hit: Thousands of applications. Hundreds of auto-rejections. Dozens of interviews that go nowhere. A pattern emerges: "We like you but...", "Not a right fit", "Not enough experience", "Too much experience", "It was a hard decision but came down to..." But then... An opportunity! A company singularly focused on helping those that make our communities better. And empower those that help others. Sounds familiar! Sounds like an opportunity to make a positive impact!
