🎉 Excited to share my latest research paper, just accepted at ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems! 📊🤖 Title: "Human-AI Synergy in Survey Development: Implications from Large Language Models in Business and Research" In this work, my friend Ping Fan Ke and I explore how Large Language Models (LLMs) can revolutionize survey development in business and research. We introduce the Behavioral Research ASSistant (BRASS) Bot (https://lnkd.in/gbxwQqV4), which integrates LLMs into various stages of the survey creation process. Key highlights: • 🔍 Analyzed traditional scale development to identify LLM integration opportunities • 🛠️ Developed BRASS Bot with principles of falsifiability and reproducibility • 🧪 Evaluated BRASS Bot across GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama • 📈 Conducted user study and predictive validity simulation Our findings suggest that BRASS Bot can significantly enhance efficiency and scale validity while enriching behavioral construct foundations. This work opens up exciting possibilities for LLMs as assistants and collaborators in survey analysis and behavioral research. 🚀 Read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/gZG3sAtB. #GenerativeAI #LLM #SurveyDevelopment #BusinessResearch #AcademicResearch

Wow, BRASS Bot sounds super cool! Did you consider incorporating techniques like item response theory into the bot's design to further refine scale validity?
