The countdown is ON! The new headquarters for Literary Arts in Portland’s Central Eastside celebrates its grand opening this Saturday. The reimagined 1904 building preserves the beauty of the original wood floors, exposed wood structure, and extensive brickwork, honoring Portland history and the arts community hand in hand. Complete with a public cafe and bookstore, the nonprofit’s new home will serve as one of the largest physical centers in the nation for literature and storytelling. Congratulations to our friends at Literary Arts—it's been an honor to be part of your journey and we can’t wait to see you thrive here for years to come. 1wGreat to see this project completed. I remember conducting the property condition assessment before they acquired the building. It looks like a beautiful makeover.
