Do you like to stay active on your holiday? You're not alone! Skift research found that 49% of travellers consider day trips and experiences as extremely or very important when planning their trip. 🚀 Another survey found that 43% of 18-24 year olds have taken an activity-based holiday in the past 24 months. These activities range from walking, cycling, water sports and yoga retreats. 🚴🏄 💡Operators who provide activity tours should look to sell with global OTAs and Google Things to do as they are commonly used during the research phase. They should also consider building their social media presence to be discoverable and capture more demand from travellers. #ActivityOperator #ToursandActivities #ExperiencesIndustry #TravellerTrends

Finding My Better Self Through Consistency and Cycling 🚴🌅 It’s been just 15 days since I made a commitment to myself – no more excuses. I used to justify skipping workouts with work overload and lack of time, but in truth, I was just appeasing myself. This journey began when I decided to dedicate just one hour a day to something that truly mattered to me. Cycling has now become a part of my daily life, a source of balance that’s helped me excel both in my work and my well-being. I used to struggle with high blood sugar, feeling the effects each day. But these last 15 days have shown me a better version of myself, one that feels alive, purposeful, and ready to make a positive impact in the Social Development Sector. Some important lessons I’ve learned: 1. Physical activity isn’t just about weight loss – it’s about nurturing your body, mind, and soul. 2. You must prioritize yourself; your well-being matters above all else. 3. No one else can truly understand your journey. Own your path, be true to yourself, and embrace every moment. Love life. Live life. We are all born with incredible energy and potential within us – let’s unlock it! 💪✨ #WellnessJourney #SelfImprovement #CyclingLife #WorkLifeBalance #PhysicalActivity #LiveYourBestLife #Inspiration #SocialImpact #BetterMe #HealthAndWellness

Passionate about properties, committed to excellence! Beyond the hustle of the property industry, fitness is my lifeline. 7 days a week, I push myself through workouts and runs. From half marathons to 70 mile races, each challenge strengthens not just my body, but my mind too. This September I’ll be in Santorini, Greece, for a test of mind and body like never before. Because I believe in the power of a strong body to nurture an even stronger mind. Training hard isn't just about fitness, it's about gaining confidence, self belief, and the can do attitude in everything I do. #estateagency #personaldevelopment #personalgrowth #propertyindustry #propertysales

I developed the Revocycle Mind and Body Cycling concept as a way of sharing the athlete's experience of how endurance exercise can be (and should be, I believe) a moving meditation. I also see the concept as a gateway to to teaching consumers about the new science of exercise and the brain, and how to use mindful aerobic movement to benefit their mental health. We intentionally do not talk about how many calories we burn in class nor do we have 'summer's coming' or 'bikini season' promotions because, when your goal is holistic health and stress reduction, these are beside the point. The concept marries the mind of yoga with indoor cycling, which just happens to be the way I ride my bike outside...as I'm sure every outdoor cyclist (and runner, paddler, rower, climber, swimmer, skier) will tell you. The classes are almost spa-like, and for similar reasons..... ~calm, quiet instruction, meditative and centering ambient music, body and breath awareness~ These rhythmic, powerful, and repetitive sports are an ideal gateway to the self; the movement itself becomes the goal and the practice. The mind quiets down, no worry about the future or regretting the past. Just in the moment. I recognize this is not typically how 'spin' classes are packaged and delivered, but I would argue that today, more than ever, the concept is right. #fitness #fitnessindustry #mindfulness #mindbody #wellbeing #holistichealth

🔆🏊♦️ The pool isn't just for lounging - it's your aquatic arena for a full-body challenge. Water adds resistance without the impact, so it's perfect for both high-intensity training and recovery days. Here are some specific ways to use the pool to amp up your fitness routine: Water Jogging: Forget the treadmill; water jogging is low impact and provides resistance that’s easy on your joints while torching calories. Aqua Cycling: Take the spin class into the pool. Cycling underwater increases your effort, giving you a challenging and refreshing workout. Pool Planks: Hold a pool noodle while keeping your body straight and afloat, and feel your core engage more intensely than any land workout could offer. Pool Push-ups: Place your hands on the pool edge and push up against the water's resistance to target those upper body muscles. Swim Intervals: Alternate between different strokes or sprinting one lap and light swimming the next. It’s a full-body workout that enhances both strength and endurance. Water Yoga: Practice yoga poses in the shallow end to improve balance and flexibility with the water's gentle support. This summer, the pool is where goals are made and met. Whether you’re swimming laps or mixing in these aquatic exercises, you’re bound to get a fantastic workout. So jump in — the water’s fine, and your fitness goals are within reach! How are you using the pool to stay fit this summer? 💪🌞🌊 #AquaticAthlete #SummerSwimFit #PoolFitness #WaterWorkouts

🚴♀️ The Joy of Bike Rides: A Lesson in Balance 🚴♀️ One of my favorite ways to clear my mind and recharge is through my regular bike rides. There’s something about the feeling of the wind on your face, the quiet hum of the wheels, and the steady rhythm of pedaling that helps me find balance in the middle of life’s busy days. On these rides, I’m reminded that life and work are a lot like cycling: You don’t always have to go at full speed; sometimes, it’s okay to coast and take in the view. 🌳 The uphill climbs may be tough, but the sense of accomplishment when you reach the top makes it all worthwhile. 🏔️ And no matter how bumpy the road gets, you keep pedaling because the journey is worth it. Whether I’m out there exploring new trails or riding the same familiar paths, these rides give me perspective. They remind me that slowing down can be just as important as moving forward. How do you recharge after a long day of work? I’d love to hear what helps you find your balance. 🚴♀️✨ #Balance #Mindfulness #Biking #Recharge #WorkLifeBalance #Wellbeing

Why everyone should stretch. 👇 Upon return from my recent skiing trip, I was able to see clearly the benefits of a regular stretching routine. After two of my days skiing, I was diligent and did some light yoga when I returned from the slopes and I felt great the next day. After the 3rd day, I wasn't as diligent. You can blame the refreshing sports drink known as 'beer' for that one. 🍺 Since I've returned to London, I've felt the difference. My body has felt tight, I've needed some remedial body work on my hip and overall, I've regretted that I didn't keep up my regular practice on the trip. Not only does a regular stretching routine help you maintain overall muscle tone and well-being, the benefits of a regular stretching practice may also include: ✅ Increased flexibility ✅ Cardiovascular health in relation to reduction in arterial stiffness ✅ Stress reduction, Plus more. Studies suggest that holding poses for around 30 - 45 seconds, performed in aggregate up to 5 minutes per week in order to see an increase in range of motion. Champion vegan ultra marathon champion, Scott Jurek claims that stretching is essential to achieving and maintaining a level of high performance. I now understand why. Since I've been back into my regular routine at home, I've started to feel my old self again. This is me on my yoga teacher training in Bali, in October 2017, doing 'eka pada rajakapotasana' variation or otherwise known as 'pigeon pose', which works primarily to stretch the piriformis muscle (which is a small, pear-shaped muscle located deep in the buttock). How often do you stretch? #yoga #wellbeing #stretching

Light cycling before bedtime can be an effective way to unwind and prepare the body for restful sleep. This gentle, low-impact exercise allows you to expend any lingering energy while promoting relaxation. As you pedal at a leisurely pace, your breathing becomes steady and rhythmic, helping to calm the mind. The repetitive motion can induce a meditative state, reducing stress and muscle tension. Light cycling also increases blood flow, which can aid in the recovery process. Incorporate this simple activity into your nightly routine for a more restful slumber, ensuring you wake up refreshed and rejuvenated. Embrace the tranquility of light cycling before drifting off to dreamland. #LightCycling #BeforeBedtime #GentleExercise #PromoteRelaxation #UnwindRoutine #MeditativeMotion #ReduceStress #ImproveBloodFlow #RestfulSlumber #RefreshedMornings #uswc

Feeling trapped in a cycle of daily routines? Studies show that exercise, like cycling, triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural mood-boosters. These endorphins combat stress hormones, leaving you feeling invigorated and positive. Regular cycling can significantly reduce stress levels and improve overall well-being.
