As a voter I worry about it. Is that because of the BJP? As every opposition party projects. Let these party show if they have consistently fielded more & more Muslim candidates. Even Mamata ji can't prove. According to my root cause:- Muslim candidates have the least winning quotient They among themselves have political ambitions. Multiple muslim candidates in winnable constituencies reduce winnability further They almost always threaten all establishments irrespective of parties They always do Muslim Muslim. They are unable to demonstrate true secularism. Most current Muslim politicians have terrible criminal history They need to help themselves by bringing change in their "Muslim approach" to a "truly secular approach" Otherwise don't blame others

Only 24 Muslims got elected to 18th Parliament in the Parliamentary election 2024 as against 26 MPs in 17th Parliament of 2019 . 78 Muslims contested in 2024 as against 115 in 2019 Under-representation in political institutions leads to underrepresentation in other socio- economic institutions Indian state needs to correct this situation since it will result in low performance of India in global human development indices Share of Pasmandah communities among Muslims in political representation is negligible . This leads to increase inequality Pasmandah communities should strive for abolition of unconstitutional discrimination in reservation against Muslim and Christian SCs under para 3 of Constitution ( SCs ) Order 1950 . If this discrimination were removed , Muslim & Christian SCs will become eligible to contest for 84 Parliamentary seats reserved for SCs . Of them , they can more easily win about 36 seats reserved in areas with substantial or majority population of Muslims Muslim STs should also contest for 47 Parliamentary seats reserved for STs for which they are eligible
