✨Next week, we’re hosting an exciting virtual mentoring session with 12 incredible mentors from various companies and countries. Today, we’d like to spotlight a personal story from one of our core team members, Maria Beiner, who had the opportunity to win a mentoring session with Kendy Rannenberg, who will also be one of our mentors at this event. 🌟In Maria’s words, meeting and learning from such a charismatic, experienced, and inspiring woman was truly empowering. She even traveled from Berlin to Munich to visit Kendy at her office at Databricks! During their time together, Kendy shared invaluable tips and recommendations that have already begun to reshape Maria's professional perspective. Here are a few key takeaways that Maria wanted to share with all of you: 💡 Be your own best friend: When things get tough, ask yourself what advice a friend would give you, and lift yourself up with that same kindness and encouragement. 💡 Embrace challenges for growth: Real growth happens outside your comfort zone. Use difficult situations as opportunities to learn and develop. 💡 Handle tough situations with humor: Keeping things light, especially the unpleasant ones, can make challenges easier to manage. 💡 Improve your communication skills: Join organizations or clubs where you can practice and refine your public speaking and presentation skills in a supportive environment. 💡 Don’t shy away from self-promotion: Promote yourself with the same confidence and pride you’d show when promoting someone else. Own your achievements! There’s still time to register for our online event on Thursday, 24th October! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. 👉🔗https://lnkd.in/dp-9863k

The quickest way to derail a promising mentorship is to jump straight into solutions. I've seen well-intentioned mentors do this. They don't let the mentee figure out things independently and instead offer a solution as the first stop. Frustrating both themselves and their mentees. It leads to: • Solutions not aligning • Unique potential not being revealed • The mentor’s perspective overshadowing There’s a better way. In this video, I’ll explain how it starts with the mentee’s thinking and vision.
10. WELL-INTENTIONED MENTORS MAKE THIS CRITICAL MISTAKE
