Brick Wall Ties are pieces of metal used in buildings with cavity walls. The ties give stability to brick (masonry) walls by anchoring them to the adjacent wall, which is usually made from wood or concrete. Corrugated wall ties can only be used with wood stud backups. https://buff.ly/4bgkahD #brickwalltie #galvanizedwalltie #walltie #cavitywalls

From mesh type A60 to A120, the longitude and cross wire is different, the mesh space is 100mm x 300mm. the sheet size of ribbed reinforced mesh is 2400mm x 6000mm. The mesh hole is a rectangle shape. It's popular to use on flooring slab, dividing walls for non loading bearing partitions, construction footing foundation, bridge and pier, colomun, road and highway foundation etc. #ConstructionMaterials #ReinforcementMesh #QualityBuild #StructuralIntegrity

Have you ever seen these patterns of support framework in ceilings/floors? These are known as "Herringbone struts" or "cross bracing". They allow the weight of the floor to be distributed across multiple joists more evenly, while preventing the joists from twisting. Herringbone struts can also be a preferred alternative when needing to run cables or pipes between joists without drilling through solid noggings, which would weaken the floor. These herringbone struts are a snapshot from our Pymble project, a 2 storey renovation coming along beautifully. #construction #herringbone #renovation #extension #engineering #structural #builders #constractors #buildinghomes

A lot of the framing in my basement remodel got done last week. Note the capillary break between wood and concrete for the new walls. Using pressure-treated lumber may slow down the tendency to rot, but it doesn't stop that wood from absorbing moisture from the concrete...and then sending it upward into the non-treated wood. We used sill seal for the capillary break, which is probably what it's best for. Don't use it by itself and think you're going to get a good air seal. #moisture #moistureproblems #framing #basement #remodel #renovation
