BNSF Railway’s Post

🚗 A bridge to better commutes: Santa Fe Springs tackles congestion 🚆 Until recently, the spot where BNSF’s track met the Rosecrans-Marquardt intersection in Santa Fe Springs, California was considered the busiest and most congested railroad crossing in the state, with 45,000 vehicles and 135 trains passing through every day. To address this, a $156 million publicly funded bridge was approved to be constructed over our tracks, removing the intersection. This successful separation of vehicle and train traffic not only benefits the Southern California community by mitigating traffic and improving safety, but also increases the fluidity of freight and passenger rail through our San Bernardino corridor. #freight #rail #infrastructure #SantaFeSpringsCA
