The beautiful thing about recruitment is you are in control of your own earnings. Want to earn more? Bill more! That often comes from time and hard work. Its seldom that a firm’s top biller is not the hardest working. Not always, but often! The other way to control your earnings is to ensure you work for an agency that reward you fairly. As a rule of thumb, you should earn a third of what you bill (including base). In saying that, plenty of firms pay 50% to their top billers. I see way too many firms that simply do not reward their team(s) well enough. They will tell you that you have a great comms, but the reality is you’re being sha**ed! Same job. “Am I achieving more of my goals by working with this person than I could without the alliance?” ⁉️ A question I think about a lot when working on client experience. I expect clients to think like this about working with me! I posted a couple weeks ago about our membership and why it’s so radically different. I built it this way and I can sustain it this way because… 1. I keep business overhead expenses low. 2. No flashy buildings or expensive campaigns 3. No executives to pay salaries for 4. I negotiate with vendors 5. I do everything I can to keep costs down so I can add back to the client experience and performance of clients plans 6. Our members don’t need to pay for extra corporate bs. 7. Pass savings to clients 🤯 I rely on my amazing clients and friends who refer people my way that are tired of their old fashioned advisor relationships with low transparency, minimal interaction, underwhelming performance, limited investment options, and high unknown/hard to figure out costs.
