Feedback That Counts: Making Assessment a Two-Way Street Providing meaningful feedback is crucial for growth, but it can be a daunting task for new educators, especially when managing large groups of learners. The Solution? Embed feedback into every stage of the learning process. Start by creating a culture of feedback with open dialogue from the beginning. Introduce rubrics to provide clear expectations, incorporate peer feedback opportunities, and allow learners to reflect and assess their own work. By using feedforward techniques and self-assessment, you shift some of the feedback responsibility to learners, helping them take ownership of their growth while lightening the load for you. #fortheloveoflearning #aboutlearningafrica

Just coming off a morning training meeting and was thinking about adult learners and what is needed to ensure content is understood and is actionable. Repetition! When it comes to training adults on new ideas and concepts, repetition is key. Research shows that adults often need to hear or practice a new concept multiple times before it sticks. This isn’t just about memorization—it’s about reinforcement. Repeating key ideas in different ways, whether through discussions, hands-on practice, or real-world application, helps solidify understanding and leads to long-term retention. #AdultLearning #TrainingAndDevelopment #ContinuousImprovement #LearningAndDevelopment #Reinforcement #AlgoSecTogether #GrowYourself
