🌊 Blue Week in Barcelona: Highlights from SOS & BlueFIN 2024 🌊 This year’s Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS) and Global Blue Finance Summit brought together a vibrant global community advancing #BlueEconomy sustainability and finance. 🌍 Held in Barcelona, WOC’s HQ, these events kicked off a three-year partnership with the Barcelona Activa, Port de Barcelona , and Fira Barcelona. Integrated into the Tomorrow.BlueEconomy program, they aligned with Smart City Expo World Congress to amplify our collective mission of driving sustainable ocean initiatives worldwide. 🌐 🌟 Event Highlights The week started with two high-impact workshops. GREEN MARINE MED introduced the new Centre of Excellence on Green Shipping and launched the Call for Innovation, a competition inspiring sustainable maritime solutions. 🚢 The Blue Glue workshop (in partnership with The Center for Sea Rise Solutions) focused on the role of ports and harbors as the “blue glue” connecting communities and fostering coastal resilience. 🏖️ 🌊 Tuesday launched SOS & BlueFIN 2024’s main program, with powerful discussions on Blue Economy, technology, innovation, blue finance, sustainability and partnerships 👉 Explore the Full Program here: https://lnkd.in/eZydsBat A standout moment came as Paul Holthus, WOC Founder and CEO, reflected on his 15 years leading WOC, marking a pivotal moment as he prepares to step back.
