BE PRESENT Protecting the vulnerable and preserving our rights and liberties will require a great deal of hard work by people who believe in our Constitution, democracy, and the rule of law. It will be up to us — the American people who still cherish democracy — to protect and preserve our system of self-government. As difficult as it is to fully accept what we are up against, the first step is to acknowledge it and not lose hope in our future. https://lnkd.in/esPVXy4i #democracymatters

#Justice has been, and still is, the first demand of mankind; it took centuries of struggle until governments and states recognized the right of every human being to a fair trial, and even became constitutionally committed to respecting this right. It has now become firmly established that the administration of justice is the fundamental criterion for evaluating the legitimacy of governments and regimes. Where people do not find justice, the ruling authorities lose the trust of the people in them and in the rule of law. #FairTrial #CourtsOfAbuse #SpecializedCriminalCourt #Adnan_AlHarrazi #Prodigy To read the study "Courts of Abuse": https://lnkd.in/dvM99wCT

Free Speech Is Under Attack. Where Do You Stand? I never thought I would hear these words come from the mouth of people who have, and do, hold leadership positions in our Government. "Disinformation" needs to be "curbed", and the First Amendment is the problem? Oh my everloving God. Let it be known. I don't care what your politics are. But, I will, if necessary, defend the First Amendment to the United States Constitution to the death. John Kerry actually ran for President of the United States. John Kerry actually went to law school. He must have missed the class on Constitutional Law. His take? "The First Amendment" is "part of the problem", "in building consensus"? "It's really hard" to build consensus? It is supposed to be hard, Mr. Kerry. "The referees we used to have" "have been eviscerated to a certain degree"? It is called the electoral process, Mr. Kerry. It is called representative democracy. It is called the separation of powers. The ultimate arbiter, after the vote of a free people, is the Supreme Court of the United States. The citizens determine what is disinformation; but, free citizens may say whatever they wish. They may even lie, as long as they do not advocate violence. If you do nothing else today, watch this two minute clip of Mr. Kerry on a panel, criticizing the most important Amendment to the Constitution. https://lnkd.in/eGPpywK2

Pity the nation whose statesman is a fox. The proposed constitutional amendment appears to be aimed at undermining the authority of the Supreme Court, shifting key judicial powers to a new court that would fall under direct government control. This move would strip the Supreme Court of its ability to take suo moto actions, appoint the Chief Justice, or transfer judges. Additionally, the amendment would prevent the Supreme Court from challenging any constitutional changes, effectively silencing judicial oversight. The return of floor-crossing, often associated with political horse trading, would also be legalized. Crucially, it would block challenges to abductions and bans on political parties, raising concerns about unchecked political repression. Furthermore, the amendment would grant three-year extensions to key figures, including the current Chief Justice and the Army Chief, consolidating power for the incumbent leadership. These changes threaten the independence of the judiciary and the democratic process of the so called Democratic State. What a Joke! #ConstitutionalAmendment #Pakistan #Amendment #Judiciary #Law

The Sixth (Legal) Committee of the U.N. General Assembly has started discussing agenda item 80 on crimes against humanity. The livestream is available here: https://lnkd.in/gDPBNS8i. As of this morning, the Draft Resolution to move forward with a Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes Against Humanity has 99 co-sponsors. 3 States remain opposed. The Sixth Committee should not be deterred by the isolated opposition of 3 States. Consensus means agreement, not unanimity. And while adoption through the consensus tradition is ideal, States should also take a vote if necessary. The world urgently needs a legal framework to prevent and punish crimes against humanity, which are on the rise and which constitute the gravest violations of international law alongside genocide and war crimes. States have discussed a treaty for years. It is time to make a decision. #CAHTreatyNow

Here is a partial list of free nations & democracies who have prosecuted, & sentenced to serve time in jail, their Prime Minister or President for violating the laws of their land. These are just a few of the countries around the world that do not tolerate any Elected Official, even their Chief Executive/Commander-in-Chief, behaving as if they are above the law: France Japan Israel Brasil South Africa Philippines Portugal Thailand Ukraine Austria South Korea Italy Yet, here, in the land of liberty & justice for all, the United States of America, our Supreme Court is seriously considering granting immunity from prosecution for violations of our laws to an American President? How is this even a question, worthy of judicial review, in our great Nation which was founded upon the principle of rule-of-law? I was always taught that: — our Founding Fathers designed this more perfect union to escape the autocracy & tyranny of a King — America was a nation founded upon rule-of-law — America was a representative democracy, where all Citizens were equal, & where our great Nation guaranteed liberty & justice for all — that no American was above the law *** How can Donald J. Trump, who has promised retribution by prosecuting President Joseph Biden for crimes, claim that he, Trump, is immune from prosecution for allegedly breaking our laws?
