The auditorium buzzed with an energy too heavy for words. You could find different people, yet all shared the same exciting loop in their heads. Some legs kept bouncing under the table while others fiddled with their ties, knotting and unknotting them. Whispers filled the air as some were rehearsing lines and others were muttering prayers while one participant wiped sweaty palms against their trousers. It was all part of the buildup to stepping onto the greatest stage of Tattvam, where talent overflowed like PVR popcorn spilling from an overfilled machine. The interschool competition, Ela Green’s Tattvam ‘24, is exactly what it promises to be, a celebration of embracing one’s true self. Here, every student was a main character, pulling their finest tricks from their sleeves. Whether it was dance, music, cooking, art, fashion, theatre, or recitation, the fields were endless, and so was the creativity. 💬 Talking Race: A Powerful Conversation at MindGym 💬 We just wrapped up our Talking Race virtual go-live, led by the awesome Lanre Sulola and it was a powerful, thought-provoking session. Conversations about race can be uncomfortable, but they are crucial - and this session gave us the tools to lean into that discomfort with purpose. We explored: 1️⃣ The importance of being present in the conversation 2️⃣ How to open up discussions about race at work 3️⃣ What stops us from talking about race—and how to break down those barriers 4️⃣ The need to put ego and assumptions aside, supporting one another through emotional stressors. A key takeaway? Avoid falling into traps like minimising or problem-solving someone's experience. Instead, remember to TALK: 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 them for sharing 𝗔𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 their perspective 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 from their story Show 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and compassion At MindGym we’re committed to keeping these conversations going.
