Black Lives in Music’s Post

And that’s a wrap! We’re still buzzing from our incredible Turn It Up bootcamp at Platoon Studios in London, where we, along with We Are The Unheard, brought together talented sound engineers from global majority backgrounds, centering Black women and gender-expansive individuals. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with learning, growth, and community. Turn It Up amplifies the voices and skills of underrepresented groups in the sound engineering and technical fields within the music industry, and we’re proud to be part of the movement. Huge thanks to our participants: @Kadence Oldroyd-Ellis aka fiyahdred, Gabriella Bongo, Tsharna Daniel, Akira Elisiya Oniwinde, Adelayo and Cleona Divine, mentors, and partners for making this event possible. Special thanks to Eve Horne, CEO of We Are The Unheard and workshop leader, for her invaluable contributions to the bootcamp.
