Interesting article. re GAI and accessibility GAI does produce a hell of a lot of rubbish and is often ablesit and is in no way Neuro-Affirmative. But that is the reason I find it helpful, I find it really hard to start something from a blank canvas. it's like blankness catapults me to inertia. Give me something that need an extreme about of fixing and a complete rework. and it like my mind is catapulted in turbocharge mode. And that is generally what GAI does for me, it gives me something that is completly wrong and often highly problematic, which is really useful for me to start. So while I might sometimes use it to start, my end result is never the answers it spits out. Even often the style GAI produces, never mind the content. that's not my style at all and I like my style of writing. For me, having the something wrong is way easier to begin with rather than having nothing at all. (when it comes to writing only) I wonder what that indicates about my cognition. I wonder is it sort of a defiance or drive for autonomy mechanism.

You can’t tell anybody how to be better, you have to show them. Now, I do understand to my core that so much of sharing wisdom is in our stories, our lectures, our talks (I do this most days of my life, in fact). The greater truth, however, is that you can't tell another to “calm down” or be anti-racist or inclusive. These critical spaces often require models, mentors, people who are well enough and brave enough, to demonstrate it, not just use words. Our biggest legacies lie in how we show those we love and those we lead how to manage big emotions and difficult conversations from demonstrating it. In this lonely world, lean in as often as you can and show others what authentic interaction (the only AI that matters) really looks like but actually doing it instead of talking about it.
