For all folks doing their grocery shopping at Costco or anywhere else, please, please choose what not to eat to stay healthy and most importantly heart healthy. The trade-offs of paying less to live less(I don't even know if that is a real trade-off) looks superficially compeling, but it also true that we do not decide on how much to pay. Life takes the decision and we often think that it is out of our hands. I am talking about these marginal price differences that we often skip while shopping either out of negligence or pure pseudo-fear. It is time to take real actions on our health. Great resources from Dr. Eric Berg.

Mr. West Banana Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Mix is now #46 in the cookie mix category on Amazon. We have some more work to do our goal is the top 10. As we continue to grow we notice customers are moving away from traditional brands like Pillsbury and Betty Crocker. Many customers are asking for vegan options unfortunately Pillsbury and Betty Crocker couldn't deliver. The consistency texture and taste is something we spent weeks on in R&D to make the perfect cookie. Versatility is key in any industry so making sure of our products fit everyone's dietary needs are very important. In the CPG industry you need to spend a good amount of time on R&D this will lower chances of bad Amazon Vine reviews which will lead to more sales. #sellers #growth #bestseller #cpg #dtc #ecommerce #cookies #businessplanning #development #foodinnovation #desserts

It takes a little bit of discipline to eat seasonally, but it unlocks incredible potential. We as consumers nowadays expect instant gratification and 24/7 availability of everyting all of the time. What we end up with more often than not is 24/7 mediocrity One of the things our team is working hard to unlock for emerging brands and retailers with our unprecedented national speed-to-shelf, is seasonality. I do miss eating fresh local hand picked raspberries, cherries, and currents during the 9 months of the year when they aren’t in season, but it’s a small price to pay for eating stuff like THIS every week during the summer: Pod Foods #innovation #local #cpgbrands

Woolworths is getting hammered by #ALDI. After looking at the differing quality/prices - I can't justify shopping at @woolworths again. The brand is lazy, unresponsive. This cookware is pure iron. It will treat anaemia and Iow haemoglobin count and I can have 3 pots for $60. The one shown is just $19. Iron cook pots retail for $89 each at speciality stores. Besides a marketer - I am also qualified diet aide - knowledgeable in treating over 122 serious physical and mental health conditions with nutrition In all areas of the fresh food dept - Woolworths I playing catch up again. A big mistake the brand has made is to over rely on advertising, digital marketing, branding and customer service - these give you time - they don't give you equity which is value in the mind of your consumer. Step one for Woolies is to educate ita marketing department and show them how far they have drifted from realty. A big brand and a big name is not a guarantee anything - it's the small, smart and nimble and lean brands that run away with the cheese.

Whole Foods Market has a reputation for being expensive. So, it was interesting to hear that CEO, Jason Buechel, is focused on trying to shift that image. Apparently, the chain will be investing in a generic, in-store label to offer products at value-driven prices. Will this help Whole Foods ditch its Whole Paycheck image? In my view, it will not because it completely misses the mark. For a start, most of the complaints about prices are not focused on private label. Indeed, the 365 label isn’t bad value. You can buy a 365 BBQ chicken pizza for $5.39. Nip over to Target and their Good & Gather BBQ chicken pizza will set you back $5.99. The problems actually arise on national brands where Whole Foods is usually way more expensive. Just this weekend, Whole Foods had Van Leeuwen ice-cream on discount. Reduced from the standard price of $6.79, the new $5.69 level might seem like a bargain. Unfortunately, at $4.98 Walmart’s standard price is way lower than Whole Foods’ discounted price. The disparity applies itself across so many products. Want some nice Mrs Meyers’s fabric softener? That’ll be $9.99 at Target. At Whole Foods … $11.79 for the exact same product. From the consumer perspective, there is no earthly reason why identical products should cost so much more at Whole Foods. Indeed, this is one of the reasons why the business loses a massive volume of trade in categories like household essentials to retailers like Walmart, Target and Kroger. A large number of people nip into Whole Foods for fresh products and then go somewhere else to buy other things. The other problem for Whole Foods is that this just isn’t about price. It’s also about value for money. In some areas, like customer service, taste of prepared foods, and innovative products, Whole Foods does not score anywhere near as high as it should with customers – and it actually under indexes more mainstream grocers. This is a real issue as these factors are the very things needed to justify higher prices. Under Amazon, Whole Foods has performed nowhere near as well as it should have done. It’s another example of Amazon’s lack of impact in grocery and the latest muddled thinking will do little to turn the tide. #retail #retailnews #WholeFoods #grocery #food #supermarkets
