Check out this movie! This film is a tribute to the legacy of the American Bison—a keystone species whose comeback benefits soil health, combats climate change, and strengthens biodiversity. https://lnkd.in/gsmc-Bgy Set within Montana’s vast 120,000-acre Flying D Ranch in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, this film follows a herd of over 6,000 bison, embodying the harmony of commerce and conservation. As bison roam freely, they’re more than livestock; they’re essential partners in healing the land. Through their natural grazing, they regenerate native grasses, enrich soil, and support a diverse ecosystem—a process that not only revives the land but also supports a sustainable food system. This regenerative approach reflects a return to traditional agriculture, where nature takes the lead, allowing us to ranch in concert with the earth. The return of bison at Flying D Ranch isn’t just about raising livestock—it’s about reviving the land. In partnership with @forceofnaturemeats, the ranch uses bison grazing to naturally enhance soil health, improve water systems, and bring life back to degraded areas. By letting these animals roam freely as they once did, they’re not only regenerating the landscape but also rebuilding the complex food web that sustains the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. #FlyingDMissionInMotion #forceofnaturemeats #bison #bisonmovie #nationalbison

My ideal vacation involves getting up before sunrise to head out with the hope of spotting wild animals in their natural habitat - what does your ideal #vacation look like? I’ve always been #curious about animals, especially the mysterious ones where it seems little is known as it is difficult having enough observation from the field to understand their #behaviours and #ways of life. When having the chance to observe an animal in its natural habitat, I love to #reflect on what I can learn from them. For example, from the sloth, we can learn about saving our #energy for the key moves and #activities that truly #matter and find an antidote against the speed and pressures of what life often confronts us with. Consider Lucy Cooke’s advice “We can all embrace our inner sloth: by slowing down, being more mindful, reducing wasteful convenience, being economical with our energy, recycling creatively and reconnecting with nature.” #Learning #SelfDevelopment #SelfImprovement #SustainableLiving #Mindfulness #PositiveMindset #LessonsFromNature #NurtureAndNature #Animal #Wisdom

"Ending harmful marine-human interactions through innovative, economically viable and ecologically sustainable solutions" Since the turn of the millennium, SaveWave has forged ahead, developing exceptional products and earning prestigious awards along the way. From Dolphin Savers and Orca Savers to Seabird Savers, our innovations have consistently garnered groundbreaking industry recognition. 🌊 🐬 🔶 Our journey commenced with the unwavering determination of Floris Koumans, founder of the Orange Pearl Innovation Group, who sought to aid fishermen in Greece grappling with conflicts involving dolphins. These intelligent creatures were wreaking havoc on their nets and depleting their catches, prompting the creation of the Dolphin Saver. 🔶 SaveWave thrives on collaboration with global experts to pioneer innovative solutions for marine conservation while supporting fishermen in navigating their daily encounters with marine life. Our specialization lies in the development of ecologically sustainable solutions, leveraging ultrasonic sound signals to establish safe zones around problem areas, protecting both human fishing activities and marine mammals alike. 🔶 Our work poses significant challenges, particularly in our interactions with incredibly intelligent marine species such as Orcas, Dolphins, and Whales. However, our unique technology and expertise have enabled us to serve customers worldwide, spanning from Alaska to Norway, and from Asia to South America. 🔶 Looking ahead, as our two decades of research into marine life continue to illuminate the increasing interactions between humans and these remarkable creatures, new markets continually emerge. Presently, we are delving into research on salmon farms, where conflicts arise with Seals and Seabirds impacting various fisheries. As always, our focus remains on seeking sustainable solutions that benefit both worlds. 🔶 Our mission, unwavering since day one, is to eliminate negative interactions between marine life and human activity. With this steadfast commitment, we aim to continue our journey of creation, innovation, and development for many years to come. https://lnkd.in/eBW7E7HR www.orangepearl.com [email protected] +31 15 251 28 99 #SaveWave #MarineConservation #Innovation #Sustainability #management #technology #strategy #entrepreneurship #business

Get ready, shark enthusiasts! This year for Shark Week, we're diving deep into the world of the magnificent sharks that are a part of OGL’s DNA collection. 🦈 From the mysterious depths of the ocean to the thrilling surface, dive with us as we celebrate the wonders of sharks! 🦈🌊 Day 1: Thresher sharks (Alopias vulpinus) 🌊🦈 This species is one of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures. Here are some cool facts about them: 1. Unique Tail: Thresher sharks are known for their long, whip-like tails, which can be as long as their bodies! They use these tails to stun prey, making hunting more efficient. 2. Incredible Jumpers: These sharks are known to leap out of the water, a behavior known as breaching. It’s a sight to behold! 3. Top Swimmers: Thresher sharks are strong swimmers, capable of reaching speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h). 4. Diverse Diet: They feed on a variety of fish, squid, and crustaceans. Their long tails help them herd and immobilize schools of fish. 5. Vulnerable Species: Sadly, the thresher shark is listed as vulnerable due to overfishing and bycatch. Efforts to protect them are crucial for maintaining marine biodiversity. Why should we care about Thresher Sharks and sharks in general? 🌏 Biodiversity: Sharks play a vital role in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems. They keep populations of other species in check, ensuring balance in the ocean. 🌊 Indicator Species: As apex predators, sharks help indicate the health of our oceans. Their decline can signal broader environmental issues that need our attention. 🦈 Conservation Efforts: Celebrating Shark Week is also about raising awareness for conservation. By protecting sharks, we’re also safeguarding our ocean and its incredible diversity. 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲: 𝐕𝐖 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞 Australia, home to an estimated 40 million kangaroos, faces a significant challenge: the frequent collisions between these iconic animals and vehicles on its roads. Each year, tens of thousands of drivers find themselves in such encounters, resulting in substantial vehicle damage and often severe injuries to both occupants and kangaroos alike. In response to this pressing issue, Volkswagen Australia partnered with the University of Melbourne to pioneer a solution: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲. This innovative gadget aims to safeguard both drivers and wildlife. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗸𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿. 𝗨𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗣𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮. These sounds range from bird calls to predator warnings and even kangaroo foot thumps - natural cues that alert kangaroos to potential danger. Overall, it has the potential to significantly reduce kangaroo collisions in Australia and potentially be adapted for other wildlife challenges around the world. This innovative endeavor exemplifies how technology can be harnessed for noble purposes, ultimately saving lives and fostering harmony between humans and animals. #Volkswagen #Innovation #RoadSafety #RooBadge #WildlifeConservation
