I want to continue telling the story of my journey as a UI designer. For me, this path has always been intriguing, but my main job was in a different field, so the projects I worked on with my friends took quite a long time. But everything changed in 2022. After moving to Serbia, I finally had the opportunity to dedicate time to developing my skills. Thus began the journey of creating the "Tiny Friends" app in earnest. 🐧 Interestingly, this project was initially created in a hurry: we didn't want to spend much time on it and just wanted to "hone" our skills. But, as you know, perfectionists always have different plans... 🤡 We constantly changed the interface, reflected on the game philosophy, or design decisions. Our first focus group found a bunch of "inconsistencies" that we needed to fix in the shortest possible time. ☝ As a result, in March 2023, we finally released an app inspired by the legendary Tamagotchi game! "Tiny Friends" has now been downloaded over 100,000 times, the game has a strong fan base, receives excellent ratings, and simply delights users with its cute and kind content. I invite you to play along with us! What do you say? 🐧 https://lnkd.in/dn8-Rk8m

Recently, I've been trying to understand more on how the current workflow looks like for game developers, especially those in UI/UX, using Unreal. Obviously a highly technical field, I still wanted to grasp the fundamental concepts and best practices, at the very least. By chance, landed on this article which goes so well to provide full depth and brilliant explanation on a rather popular question - Blueprints or CPP? Since I know I've got quite a few new connections that are in this field, I thought this might be a valuable read for them too. What you see below is only a preview, but to anyone interested I do encourage you to visit the entire piece of work over here: https://lnkd.in/dCmjiZDr Full credit goes to Alex Forsythe for creating this masterful comparison and great-to-read structure. And if you prefer watching instead of reading, he's also made a nicely chaptered video too!
