Today marks the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, a significant Hindu festival that ushers in the Diwali festivities. Known as Dhantrayodashi, it falls on the thirteenth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Kartik. Here’s a glimpse into the key aspects of its importance: 1. Worship of Lord Dhanvantari: Dhanteras is dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the God of Ayurveda and an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Devotees pray for health and well-being, seeking blessings for longevity and prosperity. 2. Wealth and Prosperity: The term "Dhan" means wealth, and "Teras" refers to the thirteenth day. On this day, it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, visits homes, bringing prosperity. People buy gold, silver, and new utensils to invite wealth into their homes. 3. Auspicious Beginnings: Dhanteras marks the start of the five-day Diwali festival, which culminates in the celebration of Diwali itself. It is considered an auspicious time for new beginnings and investments. 4. Health and Well-Being: Many people also focus on health during this festival, as it is believed that worshipping Lord Dhanvantari can help in overcoming illnesses and ensuring good health for the family. 5. Cultural Traditions: The day is celebrated with various rituals, including cleaning and decorating homes, lighting lamps, and performing pujas. Families come together to celebrate, reinforcing community bonds and traditions. Dhanteras embodies a blend of wealth and health significance, embodying deep-rooted meanings for countless Hindus. India has its own Halloween called Bhoot Chaturdashi. This year, Bhoot Chaturdashi and Halloween will be celebrated on the same day. ↳In India, Bhoot Chaturdashi is an essential part of the day before Diwali or Deepavali. On this day, people remove negative energies from their houses and surroundings by doing rituals. ➪ They light up 14 diyas or lamps for positivity, recall their ancestors and pray for their blessings to protect them from evil spirits and negative energies. ➪ Meanwhile, in Bengal, people also eat 14 herbs (shaak) on Bhoot Chaturdashi to protect their health from diseases. As we all know, many diseases increase naturally before winter, and people get sick from this time of the year. ➪ Nowadays, many people argue over all these rituals. But they don't try to understand, every ritual was made for some reason. If you don't follow it, that's alright, but never make any statements about those rituals. Instead, make yourself happy and give yourself at least a chance to connect with your roots and culture. This is the beauty of our Indian culture. 🪔 Wish you all and your family a delightful, prosperous, joyful, bright Bhoot Chaturdashi and Diwali. May all your life be full of lights and happy smiles. 🪔 #bhootchaturdashi #rituals #lights #positivity #festivals

🌌 Embracing the Spiritual Power of Diwali Night 🌌 Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a profound occasion celebrated not just with outer brightness but with inner awakening. Beyond its festive grandeur, Diwali night holds deep spiritual potential, especially the night of Amavasya, which is seen as an auspicious time for practices like the Sree Sukt Path, dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. Ancient Vedic and Tantric traditions highlight this as an opportune moment for self-reflection, meditation, and awakening, making it a gateway to both inner and material prosperity. Why Diwali Night is Special for Spiritual Practice: 1. Conquering Negativity: The dark night of Amavasya represents tamasic energies, and by performing practices like the Sree Sukt Path, one transcends inner and outer negativity, achieving clarity and confidence. 2. Divine Blessings: With the Sree Sukt Path, practitioners invite Goddess Lakshmi’s grace, seeking abundance, peace, and auspiciousness. Additionally, practices dedicated to Kali help dispel fear, while Saraswati worship lights the path of wisdom. 3. Empowerment: Spiritual practices performed on this night enhance self-awareness, discipline, and inner strength. Chanting and meditation amplify focus, promoting both material and spiritual well-being. 4. Inner Peace and Joy: Amid the festivities, dedicating time for meditation and mantras aligns us with inner peace and higher consciousness, providing a renewed sense of joy and fulfillment. Suggested Practices for Diwali Night: Engage in the Sree Sukt Path for Goddess Lakshmi, meditation to channel positive energies, and if inclined, chanting or Tantric practices honoring deities like Bhairava or Ganesha. This Diwali, let the light within shine brighter. Elevate your spirit, conquer negativity, and invite prosperity and peace into your life. 🪔 #Diwali #SreeSuktPath #SpiritualAwakening #InnerPeace #FestivalOfLights #SelfDevelopment #GoddessLakshmi #DivineEnergy #Tantra #AncientWisdom #WealthAndProsperity #Amavasya #InnerStrength #Mindfulness #Chanting #Meditation #FestivalVibes #SacredRituals

𝙎𝙖𝙙𝙝𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙪: Diwali or Deepavali is the “festival of lights.” One reason why light is so significant in human life is the way our visual apparatus is made. For other creatures, light simply means survival. But for a human being, light is not just about seeing or not seeing. The rising of light in our life signifies a new beginning and, above all, clarity. Most creatures exist by instinct, so they have no issues of confusion as to what to do or not to do. A young tiger never sits around and asks itself, “Will I become a good tiger, or will I end up as a housecat?” If it just eats well, it will become a good tiger. You may be born as a human being, but to become a good human being, you have to do so many things. And even then, you still will not know where you stand. In comparison, you may think you are better than someone else. But by yourself, you do not know where you stand. Human intelligence is such that if you do not organize it properly, it causes more confusion and misery than those creatures that have a millionth of your brain will ever experience – they seem to be crystal clear. An earthworm or insect simply knows what to do and what not to do – a human being does not. It takes a certain intelligence to be confused. Human struggle is due to our own cerebral capability. 🙏🔥 *YOG DEEPAWALI* 🔥🙏 *Happy Diwali to all dear Yogizens.* Ref to Yog Deepawali Series, the further part of it is presented here, as- Worldwide people have the different Approach of Utility (Up-bhogyata) towards everything in the material world. This increases use of resources tremendously. We, Bhartiya people feel that everything in the world is manifestation of Parbrahma or Parameshwar, which confers everything as boon & blessings to all livings. Everything is given for regulated & controlled utilization & enjoyment of whatever conferred upon you & not to indulge or peep into other's plate. This approach gives conservative attitude & natural environment is preserved to better extent. 'Devrai', allotted forests to private people for conservation & protection in Bharat, is a classic example of this. The principle of good behaviour is told in a famous verse from Ishopnishad, as- ईशावास्यमिदँ सर्वं यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत्| तेन त्यक्तेन भुञ्जीथा मा गृधः कस्यस्वित् धनम्|| First line tells, everything is the Creation or Manifestation of Ishwar or the Almighty. Second line tells, whatever is given to you, enjoy it, but don't try to peep, snatch or grab belongings of others. Simple philosophy can stop the conflicts at personal levels as well as conflicts between castes, creeds, religions, countries. As per this philosophy, Bhartiya have earmarked all festive days to show Gratitude towards everything given in nature, every living or non living. Nowadays, there are many special days celebrated, internationally. For example, Mother's day, Father's day & so on. The only difference in celebrating these days is that, Bhartiya people, have approach of Gratitude & celebration with all others. While the modern world uses these newly formed Days for marketing & see towards everything as a Customer & through the approach of Commodity & Business. The modern people make mockery of all Bhartiya traditions, but whatever is being promoted today by the modern world is totally through utilitarian approach only. This increases the exploitation of everything in the world, leading to all sorts of disasters, we experience today. Even, the modern world denie the religious approach. Its correct to remove any wrong or obsolete precedents, but the modern exploitative approach creates more havoc than this religious one. Sometimes, I feel good traditions of Gratitude, Adhyatmik living, going with nature, non exploitative approach is better than Utilitarian approach, to preserve the environment & nature. Through such regulated & controlled use, with Gratitude, we can promote better interpersonal relations & we can enjoy even the better material life. Therefore, requested to all citizens to live as per the meaning of verse given above. We must adopt this Gratitude & start the Yog-abhyas, which is boon to mankind, irrespective of religion, be Yogizens, leading to Vishwa Bandhutva & paradise on our planet. *Enjoy this Diwali as Yog Deepawali.*
