This post is long overdue but I thought let me see more, grasp more, do more and instead of sharing an update, 'I'm starting a new position as Analyst in Research & Consulting team at Schbang', better I post sometime later. From listening to Yash anecdotes to picking Vinayak's brain, it's been a fulfilling experience so far! Fun mates I got along the way! Exciting to present the outcomes of my project as an intern at NSDIC. 📊 Project Title: Store Data Analysis Tools Used: Power BI, Excel Project Objective: Owner of Ashka Store wants us to help them create a dashboard to track and analyze their online sales across India Prepare a Dashboard and share insights based on the attached data for the leads to make business decisions. 🎯 Goals: The project aims to analyze store data to understand customer behavior, sales performance, and other operational aspects. This analysis will help make informed decisions to optimize store performance. Here by using Power BI, I was able to prepare a detailed dashboard and extract valuable insights to help the store's leadership make informed business decisions. Key points: 1) Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh gave the most profit among all other states which are 7.4k, 7k, 3.4k resp. 2) Talking about cities which gave most profits are Indore, pune, Mathura with 6.8k, 6.2k, 3.3k resp. 3) Clothing gave most profit with 13.3k while furniture gave 10.5k profit and which is least among all. 4) Credit Card is widely used for payment which is around 34.12% while UPI is least used for payments which is 8.89% 5) Harivansh had invested in 57 products. 6) November gives most profits among all other months. Recommendations : Focus on the cities generating the lowest revenue and the study the reason why revenue is low and improve sales to make it suitable for the cities. Developed a user-friendly dashboard providing key insights and trends to support strategic decision-making I want to extend my gratitude to NSDIC for this amazing learning experience. Excited to kick off my journey as an intern with NSDIC. Diving into my first data analytics project and thrilled to apply all the knowledge I've gained so far studying data analytics. For this project i was able to perform analysis on ASHKA STORE ONLINE SALES FOR THE YEAR 2018. Creating Visual which enable's us make meaningful decisions aimed to improve the company sales performance. KEY INSIGHTS: January saw the highest number of sales (61), but there was a decline as the year progressed, with a low of 30 sales in May and June. A slight recovery occurred from September to December, with sales stabilizing around 40 per month. Cash on Delivery (COD) was the most popular payment method, used in 2,456 transactions. UPI (1,157), Debit Card (741), Credit Card (589), and EMI (370) were less popular, indicating a strong preference for COD. COD was overwhelmingly preferred, indicating customer comfort with offline or post-delivery payments. Indore accounted for the largest share of sales (32.42%). Mumbai followed closely with 30.59%. Other cities with notable sales were Chandigarh (13.7%), Pune (12.33%), and Delhi (10.96%). Maharashtra led with 94 sales, narrowly beating Madhya Pradesh, which had 93 sales. Rajasthan (32 sales), Gujarat (27), Uttar Pradesh (25), and Punjab (25) rounded out the list of key states. RECOMMENDATIONS: The company should implement seasonal promotions, sales events, or discount offers during months with lower sales (March to August). Flash sales or special campaigns could help drive engagement and transactions during these periods. Since COD dominates, the company could incentivize the use of digital payments (UPI, debit, credit cards) by offering cashback, loyalty points, or discounts for customers using these methods. This could reduce reliance on COD and make the payment process more efficient. Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are performing strongly, with Indore and Mumbai as key cities. The company should deepen its presence in these areas by offering exclusive deals, advertisements, and localized campaigns. Encouraging repeat purchases from these locations can further solidify market dominance. Additionally, investing in marketing efforts in underperforming states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab could unlock new customer bases.
