Hi, everybody. Veronica Salazar here with Bill Bills, your favorite bookkeeper. So today I wanted to talk to you about the bookkeeping tip #2 that I shared with you all a couple weeks ago. The number 2 tip that I shared was use an accounting software system. Some kind of accounting software? OK, now I know some people when they read that or or they hear that, they're like, well, no, I just keep it on a spreadsheet. A spreadsheet is great if you are maintaining it. But here's the reason why I highly recommend an accounting software. You started a business, right? You had a passion. You wanted to do this on your own. You wanted to see if you can help other people. By either selling them the product that you have or offering the service that you know that can help them. OK, so your mindset was already I'm starting a business. OK, so think of that. Business means you have the intent to grow, right? Unless you're just thinking that this is going to be your hobby, you're not really looking at growing your business. You are, you know, you just want to make it a little bit of extra cash on the side, fine. But if you actually started this business with the intent to grow the business. Use an accounting software. OK, reason why? Let's say you get to a point where you need to access extra capital. What if you have to go to a bank? The bank is going to ask you for a profit and loss and balance sheet. If you are not completely savvy on spreadsheets. Then you might not be able to easily access that if all you're doing is tracking all of your expenses and income on a spreadsheet. Although if you're very organized it can be done. I'm not going to say that it can't be done, but here's the thing with an accounting software such as QuickBooks Online. You can link your bank account, your business bank account to that software. It can download all those those transactions. You could quickly get those categorized. As long as everything is accurately categorized with the click of a couple of buttons, you can generate those financial reports that the bank might ask you for if you're going to a bank to get more capital. What if, what if you maybe personal side, maybe you are looking at buying a car or maybe you're trying to buy a house. Well, all of those scenarios they are going to want to see a profit and loss because you're self-employed. So again, if you started a business, you want to use an accounting software, it is going to be the best investment and right now there are plenty of of softwares out there. Use sometimes some of the banks, some of those banks, you might even want to go ask the bank that you bank with. Some of those banks offer free bookkeeping software. OK, now I'm always, I'm biased. I am a QuickBooks pro advisor. I and I really, really love QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop and why? Because it's geared towards the bookkeeping aspect of everything. It makes things so much easier from a bookkeeping standpoint on how to get that data in and if you need to make corrections and makes it a lot easier too. Now, again, like I said, there are plenty of softwares out there that you can use. All of them have their own benefits to it. They're all, all of them have great aspects. But like I said, I am just a QuickBooks Pro advisor I have. I've I've been working with QuickBooks for over 20 some years and I know all the tips, tricks, work arounds. I know what needs to be done, I know how to do certain things and it just makes, like I said, as from a bookkeeper standpoint, QuickBooks Online is one of the easiest, easiest accounting programs out there to use at the present time. So. That is my bookkeeping tip #2 for you all today. If you have any questions about that or if you need help, maybe you are using a spreadsheet and you need some help on how you can get that done. But like I said, accounting software is going to be the best option out there, especially if you started this business with the intent to grow.
