We have those at work. Time to understand how to read them (picture guide attached). Also, know the purpose - it is a quick reference of direction and a wind speed. FYI, most pilots will cancel take off with wind speed @ 15 knots. Lifting a vessel outside or a piece of large steel plate @ 15 knots wind might not be a good idea either.

HELICOPTER STRINGING: precision work that requires precision equipment. Helicopter stringing is a testament to pilot precision and equipment reliability. Ensuring the safe unwinding of ropes at high speeds demands top-notch gear. For decades, ZECK has been at the forefront of perfecting hydraulic spoolers for helicopter stringing. For shorter rope lengths, our HTB/Heli is the perfect unwinding tool, accommodating reels up to 1,900mm Ø. For extensive cable runs from large conductor drums, rely on our TBZ/Heli units. These units can be powered directly from on-site puller-tensioners or external hydraulic units. Equipped with remote control, they boast a maximum torque capacity of 4,000 Nm. To minimize helicopter time, remote control and power aggregate are designed for instantaneous switching between 2 reelwinders. In instances of direct helicopter stringing of conductors, ZECK offers a 4-tonne capacity tensioner with a maximum rope payout speed of 420 m/min. Please find the link to more impressive helicopter stringing footage on an alpine construction site of the Austrian Power Grid in the comments section. Whether on ground or high up in the sky - ZECK is your trusted partner in achieving the highest efficiency and safety standards in stringing operations. #HelicopterStringing #StringingingEquipment #InnovativeEquipment #ZECKTechnology
