So humbling to be surrounded by this team. The fact that I GET to work these fabulous humans each day alone makes me motivated to keep building more of the best solutions possible, but then seeing our impact on the customers we serve and the problems we help them solve makes it all too compelling - and so I feel the same feeling each morning - what can I do to level up so I can continue to lead such an incredible group of people we call a company today? The pursuit of excellence has been very lonely in the past, by times crippling for me, to the point of burnout in fact. Finding this “peak” - one where I’m surrounded by the right people on my team, serving the right people we call customers not only ended that persistent loneliness as a leader but it has helped me learn for the first time in my life that there is no better “peak” than the one you are on today if you surround yourself with the right people - turns out that’s where the happiness hangs out. For years I had some perception of a situation that would provide and outcome that would lead to happiness in business. It was never there where I expected when we achieved what we had imagined such as a revenue goal or a product launch. Find your people, Find your happiness - it’s so much easier to win when you are all happy. I am feeling extremely grateful these days…..and I’d hate to try to compete with us😎LMN (Landscape Management Network) is here to change the landscape industry for the better, we aim to do this one company at a time - by educating everyone in the company and providing tools for our customers so they can find themselves on this peak I am on - surrounded by people who can win together, people who earn fair wages, understand how to win, and can serve customers with pride knowing they are the best they can be each day as they continually improve their business outcomes together.
Huge shoutout to all dedicated & unique contractors who joined us in Orlando at LMN's Mastermind Summit! Thank you for the invaluable peer-to-peer learning opportunities! Your insights fueled an amazing event and I've learnt a lot from every conversation I had last week! We can't wait to see you all next year! Special appreciation for our own LMN (Landscape Management Network) outstanding team—your integrity and dedication to support our industry is huge! Here's to more growth and success together! 🚀 #LMNMastermind #Gratitude Abbey Gilhula , Liz Demetrious, Steven Bennett, Kyle Douthwright, Dante Persad, Jaimee Boseley, Adam V., Chris Davies, Stephen Fox, Daniel Timen, Brady Pierzchalski, CUA, Sylvia Shillinglaw, Mark Bradley, Janna Bradley, Rich Thiebaud, Mike Lysecki, Jenny Maglio and Sean Barry

Continuing our weekly member highlight, we interview Mike Gabor, past SCAPR President 2023! Background: I’ve supported National Security Space for 30 yrs, including 10 yrs Civil Service at AFRL, USSPACOM, and AFSPC. For the last 20 yrs, working for defense contractors as an engineer, mission architect, functional and P&L manager, and business development (BD) lead. I have engaged in almost every DoD space mission as a performer, manager, or BD representative. Since 2022, I have been the VP of BD for Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company. I oversee the entire new business portfolio, BD processes, and capture of new orders. What’s exciting about working at Millennium is delivering high-performance small satellite constellations in incredibly fast timelines. What do you value about being a SCAPR member? I’m part of a community with shared experiences and interests, facilitating bonding with industry peers. SCAPR is a learning and networking opportunity. For anyone looking to grow and advance their career, a solid network is essential. Additionally, SCAPR uniquely focuses on the SoCal-area and local DoD space acquisition customers. The monthly luncheons enable me to stay current with USSF org changes and hear directly from acquisition leaders about priorities and upcoming opportunities. Why did you decide to join the SCAPR Board? I felt I could positively contribute to SCAPR through service on the board. I never envisioned a global pandemic that would shut down the U.S., halting all in-person events. We quickly pivoted to hosting events online and extending memberships through the pandemic. I’m proud we maintained relevance while continuing to provide a valuable service. Additionally, as president, SCAPR more than doubled its annual donations to local SoCal military and STEM-related nonprofit organizations. Where would you like to see SCAPR in ten years? The Space Force market and industry are in the midst of revolutionary changes. Traditional procurement processes are being upended to deliver new space capability to warfighters on shorter timelines. New companies are entering the market with innovative products and services. I want SCAPR to expand their membership to embrace these new players, including companies that sell directly to government customers or to prime contractors. Favorite joke? Three strings walk into a bar and see a sign: “No strings allowed.” The first string asks the bartender for a drink. The bartender says, “Can’t you read? We don’t serve strings.” The string leaves. The second string asks the bartender for a drink. The bartender says, “I told your buddy, no strings allowed.” The string leaves. The third string needs a new approach. He contorts his body into twists and loops. He then reaches up and pulls his end apart into separate strings. He asks the bartender for a drink. The bartender pauses and then asks, “Hey, aren’t you a string?” The string answers, “No, I’m a frayed knot!”

We must be mindful of the opportunities that come our way, and grab them the soonest they come along because that same opportunity may never come along again. Yes, sometimes another opportunity may come but it will never be the same. Opportunities can help you better yourselves, advance your journey, and help you achieve your goals. One opportunity you shouldn't let pass is the opportunity to pursue further studies because that one can open more doors for you. #mastersdegree #mastersgraduate #mastersprogram #true #opportunitiesforgrowth #opportunities #consultingservices #leads
We should not allow ourselves to miss a GREAT GROWTH & ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITY...something we can hold on to, which will really allow us to positively contribute to a community and society we want to be a part of...
