Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your activities to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” For leaders, this is a great reminder that true success comes when we align our goals with God’s purpose. However, many still struggle with an unexpected challenge—the fear of success. Overcoming this fear involves redefining it. It’s not about being the biggest or best—it’s about being faithful to God’s purpose. Embrace your achievements, take time to celebrate your progress, and guard against comparing yourself to others. As you commit your work to the Lord, trust that He will guide and establish your plans according to His will. We talk about this and other fears that often hold leaders back in the free Bible Reading Plan we developed in partnership with YouVersion: https://lnkd.in/eAYRedGX

Leader, God Is Enough! You may know people who will never step up to be the leader, but who criticise any steps towards leadership you take and tell the whole world how they know better and why you did it wrong! While you will always accomplish more while working with others, you can’t always count on being supported or liked by everyone. No matter what you do, some people will be difficult and negative. So, leader, stay focused on your God-given goals, be who you are and trust God to do what you cannot do. Real leaders make tough decisions, even when it means they end up less than popular. The road to true leadership can be lonely. But once you reach your goals, the rewards are enormous. Paul writes: ‘No one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear…And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly Kingdom’ (2 Timothy 4:16-18). When others forsake you, the Lord will stand with you, strengthen you, deliver you and reward you. Leader, you are called to love others and work with them. If you find that you’re inadvertently doing things that alienate, discourage or drive wedges, ask God for wisdom and insight to rectify the situation. But know this: when you have no one left but God, you will discover that God is enough! The Word For Today by #UCB

Leadership God looks for men of righteousness: The kind of morally virtuous lifestyle powered from above - that qualifies a person to lead people. When countries are being destroyed by evil and wicked leaders, God looks for righteous leaders to rescue his people. In today's world God has not changed. When God want to choose leaders for rescue operation, He doesn't choose randomly. He knows whom He can count on to get things done - and it's not necessarily the one with the most skill, talent, or social standing. Rather, it's the one who daily walks with Him, the one who hears His voice and follows His lead. The leader may have his own weaknesses and frailties. But he walked with God, and it was that close walk that made him righteous before God. God still need righteous leaders to help save the human race from annihilation, and in the bargain keep him(the leader) and his loved ones from certain death. So, God have not changed and even now He looks for righteous leaders who can help Him change the world. Are you there? ...... John C. Maxwell & Tim Elmore (emphasis mine)

"Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:" - Exodus 18:21 The act of choosing a leader is an important endeavor. Leaders are selected by committees, votes, or by an individual. Our choices have a negative or positive impact on those they will oversee. Scripture guides us in all decision-making and advises us to choose leaders who fear the Lord, speak the truth, and despise evil. Although we may be able to detect these qualities on the outside, we must turn to the Lord for guidance in choosing the person He wills for authority. Dear Lord, When You place us in positions to select leaders, we ask that You guide us during our selection process. We seek to choose our leaders based on Your plan. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Measuring Influence "Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow laborers. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen." Philemon 23-25 A person's ability to make things happen in and through others depends entirely on their ability to lead them. Without leadership, there is no teamwork, and people go their own way. If your dream is big and will require the teamwork of a lot of people, then any potential leaders you select to go with you on the journey will need to be people of influence. After all, that's what leadership is - influence. And when you think about it, all leaders have two things in common: They're going somewhere, and they're able to persuade others to go with them. As you look at the people around you, consider the following: • Who influences them? • Whom do they influence? • Is their influence increasing or decreasing? To be a good judge of potential leaders, don't just see the person-see all the people who that person influences. The greater the influence, the greater the leadership potential and the ability to get others to work with you to accomplish your dream. As the Holiday season begins consider your influence and leadership potential.
