There are 2 main strategies in the supply chain. But I only operate actively with one, and I will tell you why. In supply chain management, 2 main strategies exist: > Forecast based push method > Flow based pull system Choosing the right one can make or break your efficiency. So what are these methods in the supply chain? A Forecast based push method is based on predictions. You forecast demand and produce inventory in advance. It’s like guessing what the customer wants. On the other hand, the flow based pull system is driven by actual customer demand. You only make or restock items when there is a real need for them. How is the flow based pull system better? This method gives you flexibility. You’re not stuck with excess stock that might not sell. Here is how you can implement the flow based pull system in the supply chain: 1. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠. Use data from sales and customer feedback to guide production. 2. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬.
