You may be able to industrialize capital but you can never industrialize innovation. So it is confusing to see the rapid industrialization of capital in venture over the past decade, and its growing newer and larger platforms. Innovation, like always, will happen irrespective of the industrialization of capital — sometimes these platforms will catch a few based on simple reach. But it is a stretch to imagine that industrialized capital will systematically own and drive so-called industrialized innovation. I could be wrong. Time will tell.
We agree that innovation is a complex process that can't be fully industrialized. While capital can accelerate innovation, it's the human spark and unique ideas that truly drive progress.
The notion that capital alone cannot dictate the pace or quality of innovation is critical, especially for founders navigating the landscape. The relationship between access to funding and the originality of ideas is complex, and sometimes the most groundbreaking innovations emerge outside of traditional funding structures.
Insightful perspective! It’s true that while capital can scale reach, innovation thrives on creativity and unique vision. It’s interesting to think about whether these platforms can truly harness the organic, unpredictable nature of innovation—or if they might unintentionally stifle it. Time indeed will tell, but I hope we’re heading toward a balance between the two.
Even Google, with unparalleled access to data and resources, couldn’t own innovation. Like Google+ despite their scale and reach, failed to compete with Facebook and Twitter.
Absolutely agree! 🌟 Capital can facilitate opportunities, but true innovation thrives on creativity and passion. Let’s keep the sparks of ingenuity alive! 💡✨ #Innovation #Creativity #Entrepreneurship

1dI resonate with your perspective, Vaibhav. While industrialized capital can expand reach and provide momentum, the true engine of innovation remains rooted in human creativity and adaptability. Often, the most transformative ideas emerge in unconventional spaces, independent of traditional funding structures. It’ll be interesting to see how the dynamic between capital and innovation evolves in the coming years.
