In the past weeks, we've been hosting meetups focused on Golang and PostgreSQL technologies. What topics could you learn more about? 👉🏻 Our Go developer Tobiasz Heller introduced the topic 💬 Webauthn/Passkeys technology in Go to the audience, while our DBA developer Aleš Zelený explored the topic 💬 Full Text search for Backoffice over normalized data. For those who couldn't attend these events in person, we have another good news! 👀 Recordings from both meetups can now be found on our YouTube channel: ➡️ Go Meetup #15 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eythTCxm ➡️ PostgreSQL Meetup 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eFUEU-Yf Check them out and discover more about other topics and speakers! #betsys #techmeetup #golang #postgresql #developers #budvkurzu

David Wheeler: PGXN Language Poll Result 🔥 Exciting News for the Postgres Community 🔥 🦀 Rust 🦀 has emerged as the clear winner in the PGXN Language Poll! With a staggering 60.4% of the votes, it's time to embrace the power of Rust for all our new PGXN projects. Big kudos to David Wheeler for conducting the poll and accepting the results like a champ. 👏 But hold on, let's not forget about the amazing camaraderie in the Postgres world. The Go enthusiasts gave a strong showing with 31.4% of the votes. And for those who couldn't choose a side, the "some of each" option grabbed a respectable 7.7%. Personally, I couldn't resist the urge to dive into Rust development after seeing the poll results. Thanks to the supportive pgrx developers and their excellent guidance, I've already released the jsonschema extension on PGXN. 🎉 Now, I invite all you Rustaceans to join our mission. Together, let's conquer new frontiers and build incredible PGXN projects. Check out the project plan and join us in the #extensions channel on the Postgres Slack. 🚀 Stay tuned for more updates! Let's rustle up some PostgreSQL greatness with Rust! #Postgres #PGXN #Rust #Go #ExcitingTimes You can find the full article here: https://postgr.es/p/6uO

🚀 My latest open-source contribution on GirlScript Summer of Code ! I recently tackled an issue in a project by refactoring the MongoDB connection to only initiate when required. This optimization not only reduces unnecessary connections but also improves the overall performance and resource utilization of the application. Issue Solved :- ✅️ Modified the existing code to connect to the MongoDB database only when a request is received that requires database access. ✅️ Ensure that the database connection is closed when it is no longer needed to conserve resources. ✅️ Implement a mechanism to handle errors that may occur when connecting to the database lazily. #OpenSource #MongoDB #Coding #TechCommunity #Developer #GSSoC

Recently made something cool (less complex, but fun!) It is a JSON database built with Golang, featuring mutexes for data integrity handling. It utilizes external packages and struct methods to manage user data efficiently. Feel free to explore the project, contribute, and extend its functionality! Show some love by starring the repo, and don't forget to check out the rest of my Github! Tags: #Golang #JSON #Database #OpenSource
