I joined the Junior League of Honolulu in 2011 🏆How do you define success? Success is not defined by outcomes, but how you feel about them. Sometimes you have to remember to take the time to celebrate small wins! ⚡What advice would you give to someone who is interested in or about to start a leadership role? Don't be afraid to try something new (like chair a committee that has nothing to do with your professional experience). Learn from anything that didn't work the way it was intended/planned to work--That's where the real learning lies (about ourselves and others). 🎶 Who is your favorite underrated musician? Tori Amos 🎥 What movie do you wish you could watch again for the first time? The Princess Bride 💪 What is your hidden talent? Crokinole (a traditional dexterity game-- it's played on a circular wooden board, with wooden circular disks as playing pieces)

AI and technology are amazing to track. However, the value of human beings still doing jobs with excellence is hard to underestimate. Prior to becoming a business owner, I was in corporate sales for Alexander's Mobility Services. Their culture of delivering excellence as demonstrated in this clip of J.R. Perez, always amazed me. It put into action the quote by George Washington Carver, “When you do the common things in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” Moving the household of a family across country can be considered a menial job. Yet if it is done poorly it can be a traumatic life experience. Done well, it is a huge blessing and I saw excellence delivered thousands of times during my career with Alexander’s. From this experience, we developed one of the four values of Easy Step Enterprises dba The Good Feet Store, which is Persistent Diligence: “Having a champion’s commitment to excellence.
