I see a common - and amplified - focus on events as standalone moments in time. If there's such a thing as #longcovid marketing - events are the poster. The handshake deprivation we endured as sellers & buyers continues to feed the notion that the in-person #experience is in its own lane when in reality it needs to be properly funded & evaluated as part of the content continuum. Booths, badge scans and bodies in session seats as #ROI metrics are misaligned. I had a fantastic experience moderating a session for the The Ortus Club - Executive Knowledge Sharing Club, in collaboration with marketing leaders across various sectors, on the topic "Evolution of B2B Event Marketing."
