For Flip, the results were impressive — the Romanian startup specializing in refurbished electronics saw a 43% year-on-year increase in sales, reaching over € 4.3 million. Their Black Friday campaign, which ran from November 7-12, also saw a 36% rise in product orders, with over 9,000 units sold. Popular items included the Apple iPhone 13, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In 2023 total turn over was just over € 56 million.
But Black Friday isn’t without its downsides. While deep discounts drive consumer interest, they can also erode profit margins. The demand surge can overwhelm supply chains and increase operational costs. Flip navigated these issues with smart investments in technology, flexible payment options, and rapid delivery — but not all companies can handle the pressure.

1wTo whom it may concern. I recently purchased a 77” LG Oled G4 TV from the Best Buy location in Tacoma, Washington on 11/8 along with the LG Soundbar. The TV and soundbar were set to be delivered and mounted (as with the purchase) on 11/14. The delivery window was delayed because the service representative didn’t bring another person to help with the move as the tv is 77” and is required by state law that 2 individuals are needed. Once the second service representative arrived they did not have the soundbar with them and claimed that I did not have the tv mount with me. The tv mount however was located inside the tv packaging as it is a gallery series tv. The representatives left without mounting the tv even though I had the mount with me but they failed to do their job because the mount was located inside the tv packaging. After speaking with Best Buy customer service they informed me that I did not purchase a mount even though I had it with me and purchased it with the tv. A separate delivery date was set up for the soundbar and it has since arrived. I have spoken with “Jordan” at this location along with “Ajanae” who is the supposed regional director for Washington state. They promised that the new installation date would be……
