Is the Wise Person a Social Being or not? In Discourse 1.23, Epictetus takes on Epicurus. He challenges the idea by the Epicureans that the wise person does not engage in marriage, the upbringing of their offspring, or take part in politics. How does this compare to the Stoic view on life? Below you can read the summary of this discourse and there you can find the link to the other 22 discourses we've covered so far. https://lnkd.in/dmtfCuhh --- 🙋🏻 Benny Voncken - The Stoic Coach 🚶🏻 Guiding you toward a life of purpose and clarity ⛰️ Together, we'll turn obstacles into opportunities 🧭 Schedule your free consultation today, using the link in the bio 🙏 Follow me for weekly Stoic insights and life philosophy tips
