Another semester of Intro to Corporate Communications in the 📚s. I so enjoyed having this smart, engaged and inquisitive group of AdPR@UGA students. If this group is any indication, the future of our profession is in great hands! We capped off the week with final presentations -- each student picked a Fortune 100 publicly traded company and had to assess the company's communications and public affairs, and present those findings as if they were the recently hired Chief Communications Officer. Lots of great insights and recommendations. The best part of class is the amazing group of communications leaders who traveled to Athens to share their wisdom each week: Brett Jewkes, Trebor Banstetter, Scott Leith, Kimbrel Arculeo, Amanda Rosseter, Kate Quigley Walker, Daniel Hughes, Bryan Harris, Wells Ellenberg and Caroline Wilbert. The students got a behind-the-scenes look at how some of the biggest and most successful companies leverage strategic communications to protect and enhance their reputation.
