Let me guess: you have been thinking about relocating to New York City, and then you found my account. People really love living in New York City! Besides the obvious: the energy, the food, the international flair and diversity, the museums, the shopping, the weather....here are three reasons why people are relocating to our state. 1. The market is fairly neutral, but inventory numbers are improving with about 3% more listings year over year. With a little creativity (and maybe a bit of patience) there are a lot of opportunities for buyers! 2. Job growth is strong. Private sector jobs in New York City rose by 34,000 year-over-year in March 2024. Gains occurred in private education and health services, leisure and hospitality, financial activities, and other services. Unemployment hovers under 5% and remains on the decline year-over-year. 3. Everything you need is right outside your front door! From pharmacies and grocery stores to parks and public transportation, there’s never been a more convenient time to live in NYC. Everything you need is right at your fingertips and once you learn the MTA (I promise, it’s easy) you can get anywhere within minutes - no sitting in traffic! From Selling Property to "Selling" People – A Journey of Growth Throwback to my days working in Real Estate in the heart of Melbourne’s inner city, where selling property was all about connecting people with their ideal homes. Fast forward to today, I’m in recruitment, and while the product has changed, the focus remains the same: the people. Whether it’s finding someone’s dream home or their dream job, the common thread is creating a person-centered experience. It’s funny how life changes, but the core of what we do stays consistent—it's all about relationships and truly understanding people’s needs. Life evolves, so do we. Grateful for the journey and the professional growth it brings! #CareerGrowth #PersonCentred #RealEstateToRecruitment #ProfessionalJourney #Recruitment #HumanResources

Americans are heading South — and so are their jobs. A new analysis from the Economic Innovation Group finds that the cities that used to be employment superpowers no longer hold that title. The shift is in large part a result of skyrocketing housing costs in coastal cities. The cities with the lowest average wages are experiencing the fastest job growth. While coastal powerhouses like San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Boston used to create new jobs at a much faster clip, Sunbelt metros like Gainesville, Georgia, and Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, are now leading in job creation. Yesterday, I had conversation with a young couple from NYC contemplating a move to the suburbs. They liked the thought of cheaper rent and more space, but I brought up something they hadn't considered: Opportunity cost! 💼 City life means: * Rubbing elbows with movers and shakers * Endless job opportunities across all industries * A diverse/vibrant atmosphere that pushes you to grow and innovate * Shorter commute times to work and cultural hotspots * Less planning, just go and be spontaneous 🏡 Suburban life might offer: * Peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle * More room to stretch out and enjoy life * Longer commute times but a retreat from the city's frenetic energy Before you pack up (especially if you are early in your career), think beyond the dollars and cents. Yes, city life is more expensive and small spaces but you are paying for something that you can't get in most places, thats being surrounded by endless opportunities. Then....once you get that opportunity, you can move out :) #NYCLife #OpportunityCost

When major corporate HQs move to new areas, they don't just bring jobs. They transform entire communities. 🌆 Austin, TX, is a prime example. Over the years, we've seen tech giants set up shop here. But what does this mean for locals buying and selling homes? 1️⃣ Increased Property Values: Corporate relocations often drive up the demand for housing, boosting property values. Great for sellers, but what's the move for buyers? 2️⃣ Job Opportunities: More HQs mean more jobs. Local employment rates improve, making the area even more attractive. 3️⃣ Community Development: From new schools to parks, infrastructure investments follow these relocations, enhancing the quality of life. 4️⃣ Vibrant Economy: Local businesses thrive, leading to a bustling community atmosphere. But how should you navigate this change? Here are my tips: 🔑 Stay Informed: Keep track of which companies are relocating and how it affects property values in specific neighborhoods. 🔑 Be Prepared: If you're selling, know when to list to maximize value. Buyers, get pre-approved and move swiftly in a hot market. 🔑 Community Engagement: In fast-evolving areas, build connections and stay involved. This helps in making informed decisions. Austin's real estate market is dynamic, and understanding these community transformations can put you ahead. Have you noticed any changes in your neighborhood lately? Share your thoughts! #RealEstate #AustinTX #CommunityGrowth #HomeBuying #HomeSelling #RealEstate
